4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT Service from Amazon
This is a good kids bike. It is not a performance bike by any means but very good for the money. The important part is this: The bike was delivered on time and was very easy to asssemble. Unfortunately once I had it together I realized that the freewheel was defective. This was a present for my Daughter's birthday which at that time was 3 days away. I contacted Amazon...

3.0 out of 5 stars Gears keep slipping off.
This is a great bike for the money. We basically bought it because we wanted our daughters next bike to have gears. The problem is that the gear keeps slipping off for no apparent reason and it gets wedged inbetween the smallest gear and the frame and is pretty difficult to get unstuck on the road. When this happens the bike just stops working but we started carrying...

I contacted Amazon via thier online process and they had a new one arrive at my home THE NEXT DAY with no questions asked. What great service! The second one was just fine and we still had it in time for her birthday. UPS picked up the defective bike at my front door and I didn't even have to pay any additonal shipping for the replacement or the return. Kudos to Amazon! I don't think I would have had customer service that good if I walked into a retail store. Buy with confidence! Amazon will make sure you are satisfied.

The bike arrived quickly and the box and pieces were in excellent condidtion. It was simple to assemble and the seat, handlebars, and brakes are easy to adjust to fit our daughter. She has not changed the gears on her own yet as she is adjusting to using hand brakes vs. foot brakes, however the gears will be easy for her to change when she's ready. We are very pleased with the quality of the product.

This is a great bike for the money. We basically bought it because we wanted our daughters next bike to have gears. The problem is that the gear keeps slipping off for no apparent reason and it gets wedged inbetween the smallest gear and the frame and is pretty difficult to get unstuck on the road. When this happens the bike just stops working but we started carrying tools with us to fix it. Arn't sure how to fix it but will keep playing with it.

Other than that it fits our 51" child perfectly with the seat as low as it goes and then we have lots of growing room in it. Shocks on the bike work well also. Kickstand is a little difficult to get up.

This big is also very heavy for its size so it is hard for our daughter to get it up our 2 front steps.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Bike, November 1, 2009

Ordered and received this bike very promptly; however, like one of the other reviewers, the back tire inner tube has a hole and will not inflate... have to take it to a bike shop to fix. Aside from that, this is a nice bike.

After reading good reviews on this bike I felt confident it won't bring any problems. When the package came, there was a hole of the size of a soccer ball on the box. I was afraid that there might be some parts missing and I was right. The bolt that hold the handlebar was TOO tight I wasn't able to loosen. So I took it to the bike shop, paid 40 dollars to do all the adjustments and repairs. The next day, which is today, the front wheel is aired out. I tried to fill it up but now there is a hole. Let's hope the bike shop won't charge me extra for this.

4.0 out of 5 stars decent bike and great service from Amazon, March 18, 2010

Ordered two of these bikes for my twin girls and received both of them at the same time serveral days later. One bike handlebar was sticked out from the packaging box and there is a little cosmetic damage to one end of the handle. Besides that both bikes arrived in very good condition with few very minor paint chips on both of them. Initially I had problem with the gear of one of the bikes. It only allow me to change some of the speeds. But after adjusting the gear assembly for quite a while even my 7 year old daughter can change all speeds easily. If you know how to adjust the brake and gear assemblies, this is the bike for you. The bike looks cool and pretty. Both my girls love their new bikes very much and I am glad that I made the right choice this time.

This bike was for my daughter's 7th Birthday. She HATES the typical girls designed mechandise with flowers, Barbie, Littlest Petshop.......etc. This bike looks great, and still looks like a girls bike with the funky pink & purple. Try to find a mountian bike bike for a girl of this age, that doesn't have stickers of pretty flowers & streamers, you won't find it - UNTIL NOW!!

This bike has all the features you want on a mountain bike - dual suspension, knobby tires, 6 speeds, thick frame, etc.

It came shipped to my house with a few defects (probably from being banged around by UPS). I called the manufacturer, and they OVERNIGHTED the replacement parts without any problem.

If you want a serious mountain bike, for a 7+ year girl.........this is it!

The instructions are strange. A mix between too thorough and not detailed enough. I had to take the bike to a local shop to have them do a safety inspection on it and they had to make forty dollars worth of adjustments. Also, the gears tend to slip. This bike is meant for a girl 8-10 years old. Unless they are patient enough to listen to you when you try to explain how the gears work, you will find yourself putting the chain back on the track quite often. Cheers.

3.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware, July 4, 2009
This review is from: Pacific Tuscon Girls' Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike (20-Inch Wheels) (Sports)
The shipping carton was torn and opened but save for two small scratches on the handle bars which due time constraints did not warrant a request for return. However three other problems (so far) arose:

1 - the wheel bearing over tightened as was the steering head. I had to grease one of the wheel bearings.

2 - both wheels had to be trued.

3 - rear tire inner tube blew. Had to spread the frame to re-install the wheel assembly.

Pretty bike cheaply made!
