4.0 out of 5 stars Good Bike but needed alot of tweaking
I ordered this bike and another one like it (Pacific Tuscon Men's Dual-Suspension 26" bike) for my girlfriend and I. With my 2 day shipping plan they both came in excellent time. But the way they had them package kinda concerned me. Everything was tied in very close together. And they had the frame of the bike jammed into the spocks of the rim so take it out of the box...

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Bike but needed alot of tweaking, May 27, 2009

I ordered this bike and another one like it (Pacific Tuscon Men's Dual-Suspension 26" bike) for my girlfriend and I. With my 2 day shipping plan they both came in excellent time. But the way they had them package kinda concerned me. Everything was tied in very close together. And they had the frame of the bike jammed into the spocks of the rim so take it out of the box very carefully (because i bent a spock). Now this bike didn't come in excellent condition. For one the front rim was slightly bent so I had to order another one (The other bike the rims were fine). The customer service was okay. But I was told that my new rim should be at my door in no more than 7 days. Well it took almost 14 days to get here. And i was told "just make sure you throw your old one away". yeah okay. Also the brakes needed to be tweaked (on both bikes),they worked but not well enough to go mountain biking with it,and also the gears needed tweaking (front and back on this bike)). And if you don't know what you are doing do not try to do it yourself especially the gears. I cannot give you a price on how much it would cost to have these things done but i used the internet to figure it out. Other than the minor repairs needed I am pleased with my purchase. The suspension is great (really can not feel those minor bumps). I've had the two for about 2 months now. Haven't had the chase to really break them in but seems to be sturdy enough.

i really like the bike. only problem was that when it arrived the front wheel was bent... i had to have them send me a new one, which wasnt a big deal, but now i have to package back up the old one and send it back which is annoying.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bike, not for tall people, August 16, 2011

I just bought this bike and it took around 1 1/2 hrs to assemble it. The brakes needed to be adjusted and the manual really doesn't explain it in an understandable way so I just used my common sense, even though I never adjusted bike brakes before. I had to walk it to the gas station to have my tires filled. make sure you have a pump. I am 5'6.5"-5'7" def not for someone any taller. I would actually recommend 5'5" and under. Otherwise, I took it for a ride yesterday and I abs love it!! I need to buy a bike seat cover to cushion my booty that's all! for $137.00 this bike is awesome! It has many speeds, rides smooth, changes gears smoothly, and I love the blue color I picked. I plan to ride this bicycle everywhere mainly for exercise and beach cruising since I live by a beach with a boardwalk, which is awesome!!

Good performing bike. Bike packaging was good. Assembly instructions bit unclear. Ultimately had to have bike shop finish: adjust derailleur, brakes and straighten wheel.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Bike..., June 5, 2011

The only real issues I had with this bike is with the person that that put the front wheel together, the tube must have been twisted or pinched since it blew when it was inflated. Called Pacific and they sent two replacements :) The other issue is the seatpost, at max height it was still too short for me at 5'8" so I had to get a longer post. (someone 5'6" or less won't need to replace the post)
The brakes needed adjusting but that's no big deal since every bike I've had needed that. :)

3.0 out of 5 stars nice bike but..., January 13, 2012

Basically a nice bike but it should be advertised as a "girl's" bike, not women's. I bought one for my wife (5'2") and it looks like an adult trying to ride a child's bicycle. Also, it came unassembled (expected), but I ended up spending about $100 at a bike shop on repairs, brake and gear adjustments. It's a nice looking bike, but now I need to find a child with an upcoming birthday :-)
