5.0 out of 5 stars Nice bike for the price.
We bought this bike for our 4-year-old daughter's birthday. She is a bit tall for her age, so I can imagine that some would have a hard time fully pushing the pedals. It was easy enough to put together, and seems sturdy and solid when she rides. We think it's a nice alternative to the more commercially decorated (ie. Disney) bikes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty much what I expected, March 18, 2010

Purchased this on a Monday and was at my house on Wednesday!! My daughter was waiting in the garage after work for me to assemble it :) Put the bike together in about 15 minutes, and she was off riding. There was a book of instructions, but they were for every bike this company makes. Didn't even bother reading through them, since assembly was so easy, a child could just about do it. Minor things I did not like were the stability of the training wheels. I think they could have done a better job there, but how long will she be using these anyways. Also, a little too much plastic for my taste. I think the petals could have at least been metal. But that said, this bike was < $70 so that is to be expected I guess. All in all it is good value for price, and my daughter loves it!!

This bike is great! It's cute, very sturdy and a breeze to put together. My daughter loves it. She's 44 inches tall so the seat is moved up a little, but it's just the right size for her.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good bike for the money and the purpose, May 14, 2010

This review is from: Pacific Twirl Girls' Bike (16-Inch Wheels) (Sports)
I bought this as a first bike for my two granddaughters (ages 4 & 6). Since I expect at least the older one to graduate to a 20" bike soon, I didn't want to spend too much on it. It fulfilled my expectations and they love it.
Assembly is easy- took me about 20 minutes including finding my tools (screwdriver, pliers and adjustable wrench). Good thing it was easy- there are no usable instructions. The ones provided are for the company's more sophisticated bikes, which have caliper brakes and gear shifts.
Only one concern- the seat height is not easy to adjust. The seat is held in place by tightening a bolt very hard, which must then be loosened and re-tightened for any changes.
I can't comment on durability (had it only 2 weeks), but I suspect there must be some compromises for the price.

Bought for my 6 yr old girl, she loves it. Easy to assemble, doesn't look or feel cheap. Seems very durable and very good quality. I'm not a bike specialist but this item seems great for intended purpose.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice little bike for a reasonable price., November 1, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased this bike as a birthday gift for my 4 yr. old grandaughter. I was very pleased with the quality of the product when I opened the carton. I also expected it to be somewhat difficult to assemble since the manual that came with it did not have assembly instructions for this particular bicycle. I was wrong. Assembly was quite simple. My grandaughter was very happy with the bike and was riding it immediately. The seat, handlebars and training wheels are all adjustable.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good, but a chore to assemble, September 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Purchased this for our 5-year old. Arrived with box a bit crushed but parts in fine shape. The instructions were pretty bad, but with a little patience it is certainly possible to get the assembly correct in about one hour or so. The bike looks good and our daughter really had a great first impression (and liked it even better after we added a not-included basket and kickstand). Not sure why they didn't throw in a couple of basic reflectors though - there are places to attach them front and back, however. The foot brake works fine (no hand brakes) and the seat and handlebars have stayed tight with use. After about 2 months, the bike is still working fine, but we've already had to replace a flat tire, which had a burst inner tube near the stem. That is not a very fun job - much easier on adult bikes. Can't comment on the pretty flimsy looking training wheels, as we didn't need to use them. We still can't figure out why so many kids' bikes, this one included, just don't come with basic black tires. Overall, perhaps not the very highest quality, but still a fairly good value for a product that basically has to last about two seasons or so.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bike for the price., September 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We bought this for our (very tall) daughter's 3rd birthday. It arrived days in advance of its scheduled date. Assembly took about 30 minutes, and the quality is better than our son's bike which we purchased at a big box store for about the same price. We were looking for a girly alternative to pink, and our daughter loves it. Great choice!

1.0 out of 5 stars Crank sticks and grinds, August 17, 2010
This review is from: Pacific Twirl Girls' Bike (16-Inch Wheels) (Sports)
We purchased this bike because it received overall good reviews and was 10+ pounds lighter than most of the other girls bikes we looked at. I am sadly disappointed with this purchase because the crank sticks and has to be kicked to get it moving again. Once you get it moving it constantly grinds with resistance. I ride behind my daughter and can hear it as she pedals. Each time we stop I have to help her get started because the pedals don't release and she can't get them moving. I've hand pedaled this and compared it to my son's Mongoose - there is so much resistance on this whereas his is very smooth and easy to move. What a terrible product for a child. Spend the extra money and buy a name-brand bike that works.
