Tried it a couple times and the baby would just turn his head or spit it out. I put it back in the package to return, but decided to give it another try.
Now we don't leave with it. It does not work 100% of the time. I would say more like 70% and that makes an enormous difference. If you swaddle the baby it works better. We ended up buying a second one.
This worked great for us! Our son could get his pacifier back on his own within a couple of nights of using it. If you swaddle, you can tuck it into the swaddling blanket. When we were no longer swaddling, I used a diaper pin to pin it onto my son's sleep sack so it would not fall out of place during the night, even if he rolled around. He eventually got strong enough to pull the pacifier off of the Pacifier Buddy (the velcro was no match for him), so I put another diaper pin through the pacifier ring to hold it onto that too. Works like a charm!
I have this item for some time now and I used it with both my girls. If you swaddle your baby and plan on introducing a pacifier this holds the paci in place so that your little one can lean in and suck on the pacifier when she/he needs to. Before we got this we had to wake up every time our kids lost the pacifier but after we ordered this there was no need. It's really a great item and very reasonably priced. When I purchased it three years ago I had to search far and wide for something to keep the pacifier accessible. Would highly recommend and I am happy it is listed on Amazon.
I was so excited to get these for my 3 month old twins! They were waking up whenever their pacifiers fell out. But unfortunetly, it didn't work. Unless your baby doesn't move a muscle while sleeping, they would work. Every time they would move, turn their head, or arms, the pacifier would move up and fall out, then it was in their eyes. They are very cute looking and stylish, but did not work at all. It works better to use nothing at all.
