The switch is a nice feature for kitchen appliances and lamps. You will not have to add switches to cords anymore, simply plug any device into it.

NOTE: The switch has a very bright green led under it. When the switch is on it lights up a dark room. I was not expecting a bright led and was at first not happy about it. When I purchased this product the description did not mention the bright led.

If you are using it during the day it is not a problem and when the switch is on the bright led is practically a night light so a person could use it in that way.

Have been using these for a couple of weeks, and they are working great. One in the garage to turn on/off an overhead light, and one in the kitchen on a coffee pot. I can fit two of them one on top of the other on my standard outlets, but the on/off switch does stick out to the RIGHT of the plug. You probably won't be able to flip these so the switch is on the left unless you flip your outlet upside-down as they have a three prong plug on them that will only fit in your outlet one direction. I will post back if these stop working or break down and don't last. I am curious to see how long the switch will last with daily use. When the plug is on, the green light on the switch it on. When the plug is turned off, the green light goes off after a couple of seconds.

Got this for the phantom power. Easy switch, no unplugging and re-plugging necessary. Recommend this product for all audio/visual, other items you leave plugged in that you generates power even when not in use.

These things are great. I was looking for 2 switches that could be used on the same outlet plate, and this fits the bill. I noticed some people have complained about bright LEDs, but it seems like the newer ones are more subtle. It's just enough to remind you they're on, but not bright enough to be distracting.

If I could change one thing about these, I'd get rid of the BELKIN name on the front.

Buttons light up when on, designed cleverly smart to plug both in a regular outlet, and really does save money on things that simply don't need to be plugged in. With my Belkin Conserve Insight Energy Cost Monitor, I have discovered several item using an unusual amount of watts while not in use, particular wireless items (which makes sense cause something has to be running to take the remote command, these items all seem to take at least 1.8 watts when the item is "off") I use to have my shaver plugged in, it was never unplugged, and its one of the rechargeable ones. But My Belking Energy Monitor showed me just how much watts I was using, and I thought to myself, I don't shave every day, usually once every 3 or 4 days, scruff here... So I thought, this switch is perfect... turn it on, take a shower, dry off, and by the time all that is done, my shaver has plenty of charge in it for a trim, so I trim, then turn it off... just brilliant! I also use this on my microwave, it uses nearly 6 watts when not in use, that is about $6 a month I could be saving... so I slap on once of these switches... and boom, I'm being smart and saving money! Thanks Belkin!

Nice to leave something plugged in but able to cut off all power to it and with a flip of a switch it's on.

Been testing these out for few weeks now. They are great. Bought these to prevent vampire power theft; We had some older appliances and electronic devices that consumed power even when shut off. This allows us to shut off these device completely so that we do not waste energy.

Switches are well built and nicely designed. The switch works well and I like the lighted feature that remind you to turn off. Nothing about this seems cheap.

Only downside I have is that it would be nice to rotate plug so you could have switch on one side or another. It would make the switch more accessible and visible.

Great product. will most likely buy more.

excellent switch. It blends in nicely from an aesthetic perspective. the main advantage in this switch compared to others is that you can fit two into a single outlet. The switch is easy to use. My one suggestion for improvement would be to have the switch position identified as to "on" and "off" on the front of the device. This is easy to tell in the dark because the switch will light up when "on" but in ambient light, you have to "know" which way is on or off. Having this switch will clearly serve its purpose of not having to always pull out and plug in devices that don't have on/off switches and will save on electricity.

Could be made smaller, much smaller, I don't really know why they are so big, but they do what they say they do, they add a switch for your outlets.

I don't obsess about leaving appliances plugged in all the time, but I don't like leaving things on constantly. Although I love our new single serve coffee maker (Bunn My Cafe), it does not have a on/off switch.
Plugging/unplugging the cord several times throughout the day is not convenient, and probably not to good for the longevity of the cord either.
This switch is perfect. Easy to flip toggle switch that also illuminates green when it is on, for Easy reminding that it's on or off.
One thing to note however, is that the switches are not able to be turned or swiveled. In my case, the toggle switch is on the correct (right) side for easy access however, if it would be more convenient for you to reach the on/off toggle from the left side of the wall outlet, this may prove problematic.
