I really loved reading Corkum Nyks' book. I have to admit that many of the packing failures sometimes hit to close to home. However, after reading the book I now save a lot of time packing and more importantly unpacking my business and holiday suitcases. Good value for money!

Living in Europe with relatives in the States this book really made me realize it is not how much you can pack or schlepp it is what you pack and how efficiently you can do this. I recommend this book to all you overpackers out there!

WOW!! As a first time beach house renter, I had no idea what to take until a friend recommended the list on page 162 in Packing by the Book. We had everything we needed because we took the right stuff and didn't have to spend our vacation dollars on unnecessary purchases for the house. I recommend this all inclusive packing book to anyone who is going to the beach (or anywhere!) and wants a list of the right things to take along. Timeless advice!!

One of the things I liked about Nyks' book was that she tipped us Americans off to how our "Mall Casual" dress is viewed in Europe. If you don't want little children near the Louvre saying, "Mommy, why are those people dressed like that?" get this book.

Going somplace? Do three things: (1) buy this book; (2) open up your suitcase; (3)follow the suggestions! Easy! This book not only taught me how to get by on fewer items, but what things are appropriate to pack for my destination, and how to get them there without a wrinkled, jumbled mess on arrival! A must have for anyone who has had packing/suitcase disasters in the past!

Sounds familiar: after a two-week holiday having to pack all those outfits that you did not even used at all? It sure happened to me but now I just use the book and my suitcases feel a lot lighter. I use this book all the time for business trips as well as holidays abroad!

I suggest the purchaser peruse the table of contents to see if any of the situations apply to his/her future travel. I have no little children, pets nor do I ski, camp, bike ride, rent homes in France, Italy or the rest of Europe. Still, as a seasoned traveller, I am always looking for that one thing that helps with the packing. I did not find anything new in this book.

This book is so good that I have been giving it as gifts. Our overseas friends appreciated insights about wardrobe suggestions for U.S. travel.

For years I have been trying to pack my bags so everything I need fits. I was going camping and need to know exactly what to take. After having received Corkum Nyks' book, I found that the book was exactly what I needed. I recommend this book to anyone who has had problems with packing their back correctly.

R.J Corkum Nyks' book has helped me, my family, and friends look at travelling in a different way. Before having read this book, I either packed too much or too little. This book not only gives you hints on how to pack, but Corkum Nyks' humor gives packing a new concept.
