This review is from: Paco De Lucia: A New Tradition for the Flamenco Guitar (Paperback)
A fun read for the flamenco enthusiast. This book really goes beyond Paco just as a guitar phenomena. Well-written and interesting. This book really shows the human side and how his career and talents developed from childhood, when his father recognized his unique gift as a guitarist. The book really show the influence of Pacos father and brothers and his family life- including early spankings by his brother for altering the traditional flamenco solos until his genius became obvious. It gives insight into forming of the most influential duo ever in Spanish music, Paco de Lucia and Camaron de la Isle, and their struggles and accomplishments together. It even shows how Paco's father was influential on their career as a duo.
