Pro:
Nice concept Easy to setup. Cons: They did not make clear it is made out of cardboard. It is not durable and strong at all. It is expensive for a cardboard box. It is not very stable (it moves a lot) Cannot handle magazines. Cannot handle a whole bunch of papers.

Cheap price, cheap product,
This review is from: Pacon 70% Recycled Mailbox Storage Unit, 15 Slots, Blue (1308) (Office Product)
I bought this because it was cheaper than mail sorters made of plastic or other stronger materials. I'm a teacher, and mine collapsed about a year and a half into using it because the cardboard is just not strong enough for everyday use. I'm now having to purchase a new mail sorter because this one is no longer usable at all. Save yourself the frustration and get something stronger and more well-made. It will pay off in the end.

I am surprised to see some of the reviews for this item. I have researched literature sorters and they are pretty expensive (maybe I'm looking in the wrong place), but this price seemed cheap--even for cardboard.
I homeschool my three kids, and we are using this to sort the different types of paper we use (copy paper, construction, notebook, sheet protectors etc.) Each one of my kids also has a slot for me to hand back their papers. I don't have anything massively heavy in it, but I do have a lot of paper in here, and it seems to be holding up just fine for me. I like the color and it seems to be sturdy. I think it should come with labels (as pictured) but printing my own wasn't too much trouble. Overall, I like this sorter, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a quick way to sort their school supplies.

This item works well for what I need it for- holding different companies brochures in my office. It took a while for it to be shipped and it did not arrive when promised. The company reacted well and had it fed exed to me.

When I opened up my package and started putting this mailbox together I was very skeptical- it does not look very sturdy. I was however, pleasantly surprised. Two years later it is still like new. It has held up against rowdy sixth graders- this thing can take anything! The size of each compartment is just right for huge stacks of paper and even a spiral bound notebook or binder fits inside comfortably. I am extremely happy with it!

Disappointing,

I, too, and a teacher and this product collapsed after almost a year using it. I am now searching for something else to use that is more sturdy. If you don't need to use it that often, it might be fine. The fact is, though, if you have students using it and you use it every day, it will not hold up. Sace your money and put it toward something that with hold up longer.

This review is from: Pacon 70% Recycled Mailbox Storage Unit, 15 Slots, Blue (1308) (Office Product)
Can anyone provide me with assembly instructions for the 15 slot mailbox? I purchased one today and there weren't any assembly instructions in the box as indicated. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Waiting for big trash day!,
This review is from: Pacon 70% Recycled Mailbox Storage Unit, 15 Slots, Blue (1308) (Office Product)
I was really, really disappointed. It's made of cardboard and looks really cheap. I went back and read the description and it does say (reallky small) it's made of cardboard. It's very weak and won't work for our mail. I'm just going to throw it out.

Nothing in the description mentioned it was made of cardboard - had to learn that from other reviews - but, it is good quality for cardboard.
I'm a high school English teacher and it works perfectly fine for what I'm looking for (usage and price). I'm using it to hold extra daily handouts but as soon as the week is over, I collect it all and put it on the bottom shelf so nothing heavy is ever on the middle shelves. It isn't the best classroom organizer EVER, but it gets the job done. A little annoyed I had to pay $30 for perforated cardboard though... |
