I just got this DVD and i must say it was a great buy. It comes with every episode of the original paddington bear series. This show is one of the most unique and entertaining childrens shows ever created. The style of using stop motion animation with a small teddybear figurine and colored paper backrounds. gives it a unique charm you cannot find anywhere else. The Show is narrated by Michael Hordern who does a great job at drawing you in and keeping you entertained. He does all the voices of the characters while narrarating so it give the show a sort of story told feel to it. The show is very cute and the dry british humor is so amusing that even adults can watch this show and be entertained by it. This dvd is a must have for those who used to watch this show as a child and are looking for something simple and innocent for there children to fall in love with.

My nearly three-year-old daughter recently discovered my old Paddington books while visiting her grandparents. We have just started watching videos together, so I thought I'd see what I could find in the way of Paddington . . . and what a find! You get 56 charming (and short--about 12 minutes each) episodes of Paddington's stop-motion TV series, and then 3 25-minute TV specials, one of which--"Paddington Goes to the Movies"--contains the most charming segment in which Paddington recreates, step for step, Gene Kelly's famous number from Singing in the Rain. My daughter and I were equally tickled to stumble upon it, as we had just watched the original film a week or two before, and she's been doing her version in our living room ever since.

A wonderful find at a great price. Enjoy it with your children!

This is a great collection of the old Paddington Bear shorts. When I was a kid, I had a set of about 1/3 to 1/2 of these shorts and loved them. I bought this set for my wife and I to watch and it holds up!

Paddington is still as lovably goofy as ever. And this collection has every one of the shorts, and 3 longer "movies." They also included a bunch of bonus content and trailers from other shows this company owns. The transfers are great - I had never seen the shorts look so good.

If you have little kids, this is one of those shows you can put in and watch and actually enjoy as much as them. My wife and I put it on and watch an episode or 2 right before bed so we go to sleep happy and relaxed. I can't reccomend this set highly enough.
