Paddle Fit the ebook (actually a vook) is a super well done enjoyable way to learn about stand up paddle boarding and the fitness possibilities. As a multimedia experience, there are more than 100 pages of well written information and over 45 minutes worth of high quality video clips for anyone interested in stand up paddling.

The vook is organized into two halves. The first half teaches proper paddle technique suitable for first timers and experienced paddlers wanting to perfect things, or be able to teach others. The second half introduces the paddle-fit fitness program designed for anyone who would enjoy being on a paddle board more than working out in a gym.

As an experienced paddler I felt this vook struck the perfect balance of being relevant to both beginners and experts. I am already incorporating many of the fitness techniques into my life and seeing results. I highly recommend this vook!

This book stands up (pun intended) well on it's own for those interested in improving their SUP experience. Just be careful if you're buying it for the enhanced video content. The disclaimer is there, (that it only works on Apple products) but I missed it. Still a good read without the videos.

This book states exactly what anyone with five minutes on a paddleboard already knows. Don`t waste your money on this book. Everything in the book can be self taught. I taught myself to paddleboard and have 12 boards that I use almost daily and I hoped that I could learn something new. Again, don`t waste your money, simply get on a board and paddle.

This is a great guide for anyone new to the sport who wants to learn on their own. I had the pleasure of training with Brody and Dave Kalama at one of their one-day camps last year and this book was an excellent primer.

It's short but it is what it says. It lays out a very effective fitness routine. Both on the water and on land for staying ready to paddle even when you can't get on the water.

This is on of the best books on stand up paddle board technique before you add the multi media. The small movies just add so much more.

I'm glad I didn't spend a lot for this book, because you definitely get what you pay for. I mean that more in a good way than bad.

First of all, lets remember that this is a simple subject with not a whole lot to cover, so you can't be pissed when you realize that you are 20% of the way through the book before they are even to the point of explaining how the book will be organized. It's kind of like a high-school report where they are trying to jam in as much filler as they can.

This book is good for true novices, as they give a lot of attention to the techniques and needs of somebody who has not tried SUP before. You are 60% of the way through the book before they even get to the fitness part and start describing the workouts.

As for the information? Not bad. I liked the addition of the videos as a nice use of the multimedia format, so that does make up for a lot of the shortness.

Also, I think the workouts offered are pretty good, even if several of them have nothing to do with actually being on a paddle board.

All of that being said, for a novice who has never tried SUP before who is looking for some basic information to start SUP and then try working out...? This is a pretty solid little book. It's not going to cost you a lot of money and it'll give you some ideas of how to get in shape through SUP.

I am a guy that lives in Michigan and this spring and summer I'm going to be taking up SUP. I already have a board, paddle, leash, and everything else that I could possibly need to actually get started. I'm going to Hawai'i for vacation in a few weeks, so I'll get to try out SUP there before I come back and try to get started here in Michigan.

But I wanted to get an idea of what I was going to be doing before my trip, so I started looking for books on it.

I found this one for the Kindle and downloaded it, and it's definitely worth the money. I have truly enjoyed the author's style and the content. It's given me a very good idea of what I'm going to be looking at when I actually get out on the lake.

The best part about the "Enhanced Version" are the videos. As it mentions, however, these are only watchable on an iOS device. I would like to see them work on the Kindle Fire. Maybe eventually there will be some way to "update" the book with videos that would work on the device. Luckily for me I have an iPod Touch, so I have been able to watch the videos. The videos do a great job of going hand in hand with the book itself to give you an actual visual presentation of what you are learning on the pages.

Overall, I feel that the book is a great value and I've learned quite a bit from it.

I'm lucky enough to have spent some time with Brody Welte, having met him on a Surf trip to Costa Rica. This collaboration with Pete Williams is a true winner, they have put out a quality reference to the SUP movement. This Vook gives everyone an insight to what some have been lucky enough to experience, whether by instruction by Brody or Pete or a trip to Costa Rica catching waves and working out "Waterman" style on the beach.

If you are new to SUP or have been at it a long time....this is a must have. I love the Vook format, the embedded videos are sick..!

Thanks for the hard work Brody and Pete, well done..!
