This book chronicles the grueling challenges faced by its author, Christine Warren, as she prepares for and competes in The Texas Water Safari. Paddlefish is a reality experience, and exhausted readers will feel like they have paddled all 73 hours and 21 minutes with this new author. I highly recommend this book for true adventurers and those that want to be.

Still don't know why anyone would tackle this unbelievable race, but Christine did it! and she did it with an awesome sense of humor as you will see in the book! She also decided to do the race for a cause and chose Rett Syndrome, a little known neurological disorder that primarily affects little girls and is the most severe of the autism spectrum.

Paddlefish is a fun book and Christine did a wonderful job of chronicling her adventures!

Living with this river and the people who love it makes this book particularly interesting for the Waco area. This is the book chosen for the book to read this year in this area. We are all reading and liking and we all know people who could have written this! Fun

Since I live in Texas I was especially interested in this book. Our "Read Waco" chose this book for its book for the whole area to read together.
I must say that in my 77 years in and around Waco, I have never heard of this race---unbelievable! How these entrants had the endurance to make this trek is absolutely amazing!
When I finished this book I was totally exhausted!
