A Paddler's Guide to Eastern North Carolina contains seven sections on rivers. Each section consists of streams within one of the seven major river basins located in the Piedmont and Coastal Plains area of North Carolina, including the Yadkin, Cape Fear, Roanoke, Tar-Pamlico, Neuse and Luber basins. Maps, difficulty ratings, access points, and gauge locations accompany each section. The authors have also included informative chapters on North Carolina geography, flora and fauna, and clubs, as well as sections concerning the safety, legal rights, and etiquette tips useful to paddlers.
