I can't say enough good things about Mike Svob's paddling guides. We've used this guide, as well as both Wisconsin books that he has put together. They're all outstanding, and we've had some great kayaking over the past few years as a result. His descriptions of route and put-in/pull outs are spot on, the maps are well done, and the sidebar background info is also enjoyable to read. A great resource when you want to try out someplace new!

My father is an avid weekend kayaker and is always looking for some new runs and this book helps with that. He particularly likes the details showing where to put in and out. That is more difficult for a group of kayakers so having this detail available is quite helpful.
