Disgraceful,
By
This review is from: Paderewski on Welte-Mignon Rolls (Audio CD)
The reproduction of these rolls is clattery, spasmodic -- altogether a disservice to Paderewski's memory. Stick with the flat disc recordings (acoustical and electrical) or go to the Pianola Institute website for good recordings of the later Duo-Art rolls.

ITS NOT FROM VORSETZER WHICH I STRONGLY RECOMMEND FOR REPRODUCTION BUT IT'S GREAT, THE GHOST PLAYED WELL!,

SOME SAY ITS BAD, HEY IT'S NOT LIVE, DUH. PADEREWSKI'S PRECISION IS DISPLAYED HERE, EXCELLENT NOTES. PADEREWSKI WAS NOT THE GREATEST OF PIANISTS BUT HE HAD UNIQUE STYLE. FIRST POLISH PRIME MINISTER IS ALIVE HERE! FREIBURG GREEN WELTE ROLLS ARE THE BEST!

These are from the hand of Paderewski. A fine collection of historic piano rolls
