Paderno World Cuisine Set of 10 Inch Chocolate Dipping Forks Made of Steel and Plastic

I was excited to be able to purchase a set of dipping forks that looked like they would be more sturdy than the lightweight set I already own. I was extremely disappointed to receive this over-priced set of forks, which are not formed of solid pieces of stainless steel, but rather are formed by thin, poor quality pieces of steel that appear to have been welded together by a five-year-old. They bend easily, do not appear to be able to support much weight, and look as if the pieces of steel could easily be deformed or break off during normal use or storage. The plastic handles appear to be sturdy and would be comfortable to use if they weren't attached to these shoddily constructed implements. Unfortunately, we consumers aren't in a position to boycott items made in Asia, but I will never purchase another Paderno product. Since I missed the return deadline, this is going to be a very expensive addition to the Goodwill box.

I have not seen this item in a local store, so I have no way of knowing if it is a representative example of the product, or if this particular item is a defective one. I called Amazon about this and several other recent defective purchases to ask if they sell seconds, and the answer was no. At this point, I'm skeptical.

love these, made dipping peanutbutter balls easy and fast, never again will I have to stand for hours dipping with a toothpick.

A good variety of tools for dipping anything from pretzels to fruit to truffles. Able to bend each tool for better dipping angles. EASY to clean!
