Product Description

Omnia is a Pagan folk band based in Holland/Belgium playing mostly self-composed music, with a sprinkling of traditionals from places like Ireland, Brittany and Afghanistan. The music is 100% acoustic - no synthesisers, no electric instruments, no programming. Omnia has played a variety of Gothic, Folk, Fantasy and Medieval festivals in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria and Hungary. They sing in English, Gaelic, Breton, Finnish, German, Latin and Hindi. Instruments include Celtic harp, mouth harp, hurdy-gurdy, bodhran, guitar, bouzouki, didgeridoo, flutes of all kinds, bagpipes, various drums and percussion instruments.

5.0 out of 5 stars pagan roots, September 1, 2007
By James B. Whitney "mannaz" (Minneapolis, MN. USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Omnia is great! I have been loking fo r something like this for a long time. These pagans are smart and have no need to define themselves in the terms of their antagonits (in other words, they have no use for satanism). Very refreshing. The music is largely Northern European trad or based on the same and the band do it well. The songs are acoustic and powerful proving that ancient music did not need to be electrified. Some of their songs remind me of Hedningarna, particularly Pagan Polska. If you like powerful, acoustic folk, and especially if you are simpathetic to the Old Ways, buy this disc immediately.

5.0 out of 5 stars pagan perfection, May 13, 2008
By Crispy Crow (fayetteville, AR USA) - See all my reviews
This album is now one of my favorites because it encompases so many realms of ancient magic. This band has got some serious talent and they know how to make great music with masterful skill. Listening to this Cd, cranked up on the sterio during a drive through the mountains is just about one of the best things ever. You'll be stomping your feet, pounding out a rhythm with your fist in the air and rocking hard to some amazing ancient acoustic songs one minute and then the next you'll be sitting back comfortably as you're serenaded by twinkling harp and flute melodies. The didgeridoo on most tracks(all tracks? i don't remember..) really adds to the musical complexity and lends an extra hue to the pallatte of twilight colors used to weave this magnificent musical tapestry. If you like melodically rockin faerie music then this is your band!

5.0 out of 5 stars OMNIA is amazing, April 9, 2008
By Tom W (Minneapolis, MN) - See all my reviews
OMNIA is amazing... I live in the U.S. and am disappointed I may not ever get to see them perform other than videos online. What a shame. They are phenomenal.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent music
This CD is wonderful ... but I'm not sure it's worth the $45+ it's going for. Seems to me it should have a lot of additional material included for the money. Read more
