704 pp. Something like over 100 illustrations (mostly black and white.) An incredibly detailed and passionate accounting of his life and work, generously peppered with original source materials.

Biographical information, quotes, memories, and contemporaries from his contemporaries, "Medical Opinions," the Paganini collection in the Library of Congress, Discography, facsimile autograph score of 24 Caprices, Index.

Their are many books about Paganini, but this is by far the best of all the books. It is full of many pictures and is written in a way that is readable unlike most history books. It also has information on paganini's playing techniques with excerpts from his music. I highly recommend this book to all violinists.
