Paha Que Shadow Mountain Shelter

I bought this shelter as a replacement for my Kelty SunShade (which was lost in our last move and has since been found but that's another story).

The shelter comes rolled up with stakes and three poles all in its own two-handled carrying case which makes it a breeze to tote anywhere.

I used it for the first time this past weekend on a trip to Catalina Island. The setup was quick and easy (for two small-framed women) and took about 10 minutes to get set-up, mostly because it was our first time and we were fielding two six year old boys many requests at the same time.

Once we put the three poles into place, we filled the four sand-bags with sand and positioned the shelter where we wanted it.

We loved everything about the shelter and dubbed it "The Condo" because once we put our blanket on the floor of the shelter it really did feel like a small home. The three windows provide great ventilation and it never felt stuffy inside, also the roof of the shelter is pretty high and I could stand up straight (I'm 5'5'') without bumping the ceiling. I've seen a few others of these types of shelter from other manufacturers and usually the ceiling is not as high and also our shelter was very deep as well. We had all our stuff inside and still had plenty of room to move around freely.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good beach/park shelter and I look forward to getting plenty of use out of it this summer!
