Cute Story,

This review is from: Paige's Web (Urban Soul) (Paperback)
The plot was a little unrealistic, but cute. I've never heard of a woman dating three men and all three men proposing to her within a weeks time.
The book started off a little slow, but then it picked up toward the middle and end. I was glad that Paige chose the man she chose. Overall, it was a great read! I love Sheila M. Goss books!

Ms. Goss, this is the first novel I've read from you--and it won't be the last.,

What's a lady to do with three beaus? This diva has it all; she's a successful entrepreneur, has fabulous friends, and not one but three men bidding for her affection. And she juggles them all . . . but at the expense of her sanity. Yet, just like all strong sisters, she comes out on top, craftily snagging the most delicious bachelor.
Ms. Goss, this is the first novel I've read from you--and it won't be the last. Your smooth writing style made me feel like I was a part of Paige's consciousness. Witty and downright hilarious, you crafted a page turner that had me wondering, "Could I have juggled them any better?" Of course, the answer is no. You shared eloquently the downside of selfishness and the need for honesty, even if the truth hurts. I just have one burning question: were Paige's issues really resolved by her ending decision? A great storyline that deserves four pink diamonds. 4 Pink Diamonds Sistah Tasha of the SistahFriend Book Club

True to the Genre,

Ms. Goss did it again with this delightful story. It was so entertaining that I read it so fast and thought I had reviewed it already.
Ms. Webb and her issues... Of course you can't tell her that she's not thinking straight. I think that's true of most single professional women who have their lives all planned out. But Ms. Webb is in for it when her tangled plot turned into a deceitful `web' that takes her life on a little roundabout. As with Ms. Goss, none of her books are filled with graphic language and sex but just fun light reading--like reading used to be--like it should be. Congrats for staying true to the genre! Keep up the good work.

Spinning a Web,

What an original storyline! The characterization and events in this novel will take readers on an unforgettable, thought-provoking ride. Here's a chance to take a clean look at love, deception, and the consequences that follow. I wanted a little more at the ending otherwise this would have been a 5-Star treat without distracting expletives.
Keep `em coming, Ms. Goss. A sequel is expected as something tells me we haven't read the last of Paige Webb.

A Goss Delight,
This review is from: Paige's Web (Urban Soul) (Paperback)
Once more we venture into the lives and loves of characters with depth, integrity, and conviction in a Shelia Goss novel and it is a refreshing delight. The intriguing situation Paige finds herself in will keep you up into the wee hours as you become a part of her world.
Great as a summer read, a travel companion book, or a long rainy weekend treat! |
