Chilling look at what could be our future!,

Earth loses it's orbit around the sun and everything on the planet freezes as it moves farther and farther away from sol. A family survives, huddled in one room covered with layers upon layers covering the entrance. They have to shovel the crystalized atmosphere and boil it over a fire to create breathable air in their little hut. Keep watch that the fire doesn't go out! Make sure the supply of air doesn't run low! Don't fall asleep if it's your watch, or you will all die! It is a chilling, well written story by Fritz Leiber. With all the disaster stories out there, about the end of civilization on our planet, here is a possibility that hasn't been considered too much. I give it a thumbsup for originality.
