Excellent book, and Reconstructive Therapy really helped me, February 13, 2000
This review is from: Pain, Pain, Go Away (Paperback)
Read this book if you have pain and especially if you are considering knee or hip replacement, or surgery for pain.
This is not a self-help book for getting rid of pain. It describes Recontrustive Therapy and Neural therapy, and you can't do them yourself. They need to be performed by properly trained physicians.
A neighbor loaned me Pain, Pain, Go Away a few years ago after I tore a tendon in my right shoulder. I read the book and made an appointment for Reconstructive Therapy and Neural Therapy with an osteopath near me. By the time I made it to his office, I was in agony and headed for surgery. The situation had degenerated to the point I couldn't lie down or use my arm at all. I hadn't slept more than 30-45 minutes a night in several months, due to the severe pain.
The treatments totally fixed me, without surgery. I had relief from the first treatment, but it took several visits before I was able to use my arm again and sleep through the night. I had 13 treatments in all.
Definitely read this book if you have any pain whatever, and try this method before you consider surgery.
The book itself is good and will give you the information you need to make a decision about RT. I highly recommend it.

Very good info on treatment, July 23, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Pain, Pain, Go Away (Paperback)
This is a great book on prolotherapy, also called reconstructive therapy. I've done a massive amount of research on this treatment, including this book. The book really tells it like it is. There really is some excellent information in there. I must say that presently, based on my research, the "true guru" of this therapy practices in the city of Ensenada, Baja California. Dr. Milne Ongley is a British doctor who's perfected his technique over 40 years. Certainly others use the technique with tremendous success. Dr. Ongley, however, has expanded the use of the treatment to diseases that most would argue are untreatable....such as Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), and other maladies.

excellent report of important,yet under-publicized treatment, January 18, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Pain, Pain, Go Away (Paperback)
If only the treatments that are described in this book were better well known, countless people could enjoy more active and pain-free lives. This is real medicine, practiced by real medical doctors (with optional post-doc training) with the blessed exclusion of drugs or surgery. This book explains how pain is addressed by the use of a simple, yet profoundly effective technique. READ THIS BOOK. IT POINTS THE WAY TO TRUE RELIEF AND THE MIRACLES YOU'VE PRAYED FOR.
