Probably the most underrated producer working today, Muggs never fails to deliver noise that is haunting, beautiful, and gritty. He's worked with some of the biggest names in the business -- B Real, GZA, the dudes from Mobb Deep, Kurupt, on and on -- but I'm of the opinion that no MC has ever really done his music justice. Not to say he doesn't get brilliant performances from almost everyone he works with. Pick up anything by the man, seriously.

Evokes the good ol' days of rugged Hip Hop,

From the very first moment of 'Pain Language', I knew I was in for a treat. Evoking feelings in me that have long since been dormant (since the nostalgic days of 'Enter the Wu'), 'Pain Language' feels like it should have been released in the 90s, yet it just came out in 2008! Chalk that up to DJ Muggs and his insane production, I guess. His old school Cypress Hill/old era Wu-Tang Clan style beats are straight out of the 1990s era of Hip Hop, with odd guitar loops, rugged beats and strange vocal samples. The production is mad tight!
As for the vocals, Planet Asia is an amazing MC, and has no problem holding it down over Mugg's production. This is a true Hip Hop Classic, and highly recommended to all true Hip Hop heads, and those who have felt that recent Hip Hop pales in comparison to the greatness of the 90s.

Dark deep and raw. What more can you say for producer that is a legend in hip hop. Planet Asia kills it on every track. Lyrics, production, and overall vibe on this one is what the music and culture of hio hop needed.

This is in my opinion Planet Asia's best cd yet. He brings a dope east coast style to go along with DJ Muggs' dope ass beats.

THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST UNDERATED CD'S OF 2008....THIS WAS STRAIGHT FIRE FROM FRONT TO BACK. THESE GUYS MAKE A GREAT TEAM. I'VE HEARD MUGGS PRODUCTION BEFORE BUT IT NEVER SOUNDED THIS GOOD. HE HAS REALLY UP'D HIS GAME FOR THIS ONE. AND PLANET ASIA SPITS THERMAL HEAT. THERE WERE ATLEAST 2 OR 3 BANGERS, ONE CLASSIC AND THE REST WERE ABOVE PAR...EASILY A FIVE STAR EFFORT. THE BEATS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES, THEY WERE SUPER ECCLE0TIC AND WERE FULL OF SAMPLES THAT SET THE MOOD. THE BEATS THEMSELVES WERE AWESOME, THEY COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE BIT MORE BASSY, BUT FOR THE MOST PART IT FELT LIKE I WAS IN THE 90'S AGAIN, LISTENING TO HIP HOP FROM THAT GOLDEN ERA. TO RECOMMEND THIS CD WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT, I URGE YOU TO BUY THIS ONE. DON'T DOWNLOAD IT, GIVE THE ARTIST THEIR DUES. THEY EARNED IT ON THIS ONE.
