5.0 out of 5 stars Healthy and nice power pop!!!!, January 13, 2001

if you're feeling down, sad, depressed...forget Prozac and all that junk. Buy this album, play it, and be prepared to dance and jump!!! The pop music these guys make is like a sunshine in a cloudy day: fresh, healthy, happy. Teen stories for teens: lost love, friends, parties, well, simply FUN. If you were looking for Nirvana or something like that, you have reached the exact opposite. Can't think of any other band to give you an idea of their music, simply take it. I also recommend you their first album: "Soda". Hope this might be useful to you

3.0 out of 5 stars Painkiller, June 4, 2005

Painkiller by Brainpool is a totally ok album and the lyrics, music and vocals are all ok, but they never peak beyond this and they therefore get 3 stars and not more. It is like they could happily sing about anything as long as it has this honky doree aura. Still 3 stars is not a failure.

5.0 out of 5 stars unknown masterpiece!, May 31, 2003

If you ever get a chance to snag this cd for a decent price, go for it! all over the map like the swedish soundtrack of our lives, but with a leaning more toward the pop smarts of the wannadies, this cd ranks up there with later beatles variety of throbbing buzzcock/wire punk of "baby baby baby baby i love you" and "we aim to please" to sprawling beach boys orchestrial pop. parasol, please put out this CD!!
