We purchased this item thinking it was "Special" but in fact it is a demo. Though no where on the box or in the information does it indicate that it is a demo. We were ripped off.

Bought this thinking it was the entire game. It basically just jumps around with no connection between one level and the next. It's still fun, but I'd recommend not wasting your money on this and buy the regular version or a version that includes one or more of the expansion packs.

Not a demo unlike some reviews who have never really played games or read about them this SPECIAL EDITION was used in the WORLD WIDE GAMING TOURNAMENTS it was created specifically to get right into the game it includes levels from each version of the game to make a complete special edition. It inlcudes 12 levels of the original game along with some special content and some stuff from the Expansion Pack Battle out of Hell. Many gaming websites have this info and this version is particularly geared to the single player as in Competition who can reach the last level first. Have you ever had a lan party with out everyone being hooked up just competiting to the end? Yeah This game scared me, got my heart pumping like nothing since Far Cry and it has good physics in the game and cool weapons. Supports HD screens too.

Bought this before on eBay - this isn't the full version of the game. Gets 3 stars because it is fun but if you want all the levels buy the other versions.

No where on the box does this say that it is a demo version, but it is. It's the same demo you can download for free, and legally, from many sites, including the Painkiller website. Don't waste your money on this.
