Lee Hammond does a great job of covering the basic information on not only how to paint but on all the products acrylic painters will use. She breaks down painting different elements of painting in a way that makes it easier to create your landscapes or you can follow the series of pictures in recreating the landscapes in the book. Pick up your paintbrushes and enjoy today.

Lee Hammond writes art books that are very easy to understand and follow. I have this one and one on acrylic painting- general subjects. In this one she goes over the different elements in a landscape and takes you through each step by step, then there are several landscapes at the end to show you how to put all this together and use. It is a very useful book.

I can't fully express my happiness with this book. The pictures are stunning, the artist's style is fantastic and she's not afraid to use some bright, vibrant colors. The step by step lessons are also extremely helpful and she takes the time to explain, in detail, how shadowing works and how to create a well-balanced painting. If I had to find fault with the book, it would be that she sometimes seems to skip steps, but I actually like this because it gives me the chance to figure out how she created the look or to create one of my own.

Can't say enough positive comments about this book. Has some wonderful advise and excellent ideas to try. This is one book I will read from cover to cover. Can't wait to try the exercises! I recommended this book to all of my painting classmates and they all bought a copy.

I really appreciate the time that Lee Hammond has taken to teach people like me how to be an artist. She is very thorough in her teaching. If you follow her advice and directions, then you will walk away a better artist. I have three of her books. I have found that she is truly a great artist and she has a lot to teach. I would highly advise anyone wanting some or more training in drawing and painting to invest your money and time in learning from Lee Hammond. I know you will walk away knowing how to draw and how to paint. I really love Lee's artwork. I have always thought if you want to learn how to do something new then you should find someone who is professional at what you want to learn and learn from them. Lee Hammond is just that, a professional artist. You can only win in your efforts in learning from Lee Hammond.
