Just a reprint !,
This review is from: Paint-doku (Puzzles) (Spiral-bound)
This is the third time the identical puzzles have been published by Conceptis. The first time some were in "Perplexing Pixel Puzzles" and others in "Mind-Sharpening Pixel Puzzles," the second time they were in a collection with other puzzles, and now here is the collection with a new name evidently geared to the new rage for "Sudoku" and other similarly named (or renamed) puzzles. Although some of the puzzles are quite challenging it is a diappointment to find the same pictures, not to mention an erroneous expenditure since you don't know these are copies until you work some of the puzzles (or read the ISBN page first.)Especially for puzzle books "reprint" should be specified in a book description.

Excellent book,
This review is from: Paint-doku (Puzzles) (Spiral-bound)
This is the best pixel puzzle book I've bought to date. Previous books have had way too many easy puzzles, some taking up at least half of the book with puzzles any sixth grader could do. That may be okay for people who are looking to share these books with their kids, but for those of us looking for more challenging puzzles its quite a waste of money. This book is great. It does have some easier puzzles at the beginning, however, it jumps right into the more challenging puzzles fairly soon. Its also a nice spiral bound book which makes the puzzles much easier to do. This is by far my favorite of all the pixel puzzle books I have purchased. More than worth the asking price.

Book content,
This review is from: Paint-doku (Puzzles) (Spiral-bound)
Puzzles are exactally the same in The Big Book Of Baffling Puzzles and The Mind- Challange Puzzle Book. 177 of the 182 puzzles are from these two books The last five are new to me. Still a good buy for addicts. Still a good quality book for the price. I hoped that they were all new puzzles.

Best paint-by-number book I've seen.,
This review is from: Paint-doku (Puzzles) (Spiral-bound)
Excellent book. If you are obsessed with logic puzzles (like me) you'll love this book. I've been doing paint-by-number puzzles for 20 years and this is the best compilation of such I've seen. There are a good mix of difficult and easy puzzles. The small squares make the pictures easy to decipher and the paper is not so smooth that it eats up extraordinary amounts of lead. My only complaint would be that this book is compiled from easiest to most challenging puzzles. This is great for beginners, but I enjoy having easy puzzles mixed up within the more challenging (I have to go from beginning to last and enjoy quickies after a challenge).
Plan on spending a year finishing this book.

The best Picross book out there!,
This review is from: Paint-doku (Puzzles) (Spiral-bound)
Not having the Pixel Puzzles, or Mind-Bending Pixel Puzzles, I bought this book simply by the pretty picture on the front. I'm SO glad I did! For those of us who have been doing these puzzles since we understood the rules, this book presents super-challenging puzzles mixed in with slightly easier ones. If you're looking for a good, challenging Picross/Pixel Puzzle/Griddler/Logic Paint By Numder/Hanjie book, this is the book to get!

I love this type of puzzle, but I need to make an enlarged copy of each puzzle I want to work. I also find that many of the pictures are not very interesting. The only good thing I can say is that many of the puzzles are challenging.

I love pixel puzzles, but I cannot work ANY of these!,

I have worked pixel puzzles for years, and I do them every day. But these are a horse of a different color. I cannot even work the example. They are not just advanced -- they require an entirely different set of logic skills. With practice, I have been able to get a few more squares filled in -- but I realize that I just don't have the "Minesweeper" skills to do these. I am simply amazed that reviewers have said that they do not require any guessing. My hat is off to those who love them.

I was so excited to see this book thinking that Conceptis finally published more puzzles. I had done Perplexing Puzzles and the Mind one twice each - then I buy this and it is just those 2 books combined! What a waste of my money and deceitful of Conceptis!

This book has lasted me a very long time. Most of the puzzles are both large in size and also challenging, unlike many similar puzzle books. I have not seen a better book of this type.
