I still listen to rock....but the author makes some pretty good points of the stuff. Good read, very clear information.

This is great for a laugh. Never have I read a book or "documentary" so misinformative. Usually authors like to research a subject thoroughly before writing a book on it. But not this guy. He figured he would just go at it and improvise. Well, it shows! It's the Geraldo of literature. Carl makes references to bands like Sultic Frost (???...Get the name right, it'll give you more credibility!) and other metal bands in a feeble attempt to prove his point; Satanism is bigger than disco. Stay away from this one if you are looking for anything factual. However, if you like books with countless references to "Chinese Communists," then this is your pick!

seriously, this book i'm sure is on every conservative christian leader's bookshelf and is quote warmly and accurately in their sermons and 'raps' with their church youth ... i'm equally sure the youth sit there wide-eyed as if they are watching a horror movie, except, it's even scarier because THIS is 'real'

ummm ... not quite ... none of this is real ... it's a fabrication that was created to:

1.) make these christians seem as if they are on a holy crusade to save not only the souls of our nation's youth but, dare i say it (DARE! DARE!), the soul of a nation itself

2.) it really helps to fill those collection plates and get those parishioners tithing (that's 10 percent of your gross income people, not after taxes) so that the war (and yes it is a war) between the forces of evil and the army of god is properly financed

3.) to turn people into sheeple

It's a sad world we live in when this type of 'true story' actually is taken seriously on any level ... heavy metal music (and its sub-genres et al) is not responsible for murder or suicide or young people turning away from the church ... if anything, more suicides can be attributed to the close-minded and always-rightness of the church leading to young gay people committing suicide or turning to substance abuse for relief as well as driving young people away from the church in general with these attitudes ... i have never seen people who were so sure they were right and everyone else was wrong than the conservative christian cults in this country .. yes, cults ... when you are brainwashed to the extent that these people are it is no longer a church or a system of beliefs but it is a cult plain and simple ... sadly they get a tax-free status for this behavior ...

but if you are enlightened and of a free mind, i'm sure you'll find yourself laughing out loud and perhaps even rolling on the floor laughing from the freakishly earnest and 'because god told me so' statements in this book ... just find the absolute cheapest used copy of the book possible ... it's not worth that much really and buying a used copy keeps a bit less money going into the coffers of these bigoted, hateful, and sick people

Linking killings with heavy metal is not cool. Of course few people do take music to far. For a band to take you over the edge like that you have to be messed up in the head. Ive been listenin to metal (balck, death, grind, you name it...) and the last thing on my mind is to murder someone.

An earlier reviewer said it best... it is the Satanists that are penning all the negative reviews on this book in hopes of burying it. Dr. Raschke could go a lot further today in his investigation and find the whole elite establishment are the
money trail into the macabre and the occultic mystery world behind the scenes.

This Satanic Conspiracy is so vast today, yet only made up of 1-2% of the whole population, that no one can believe it because of the cognitive dissonance they
are under. The Bible stated the same a couple millenia ago, saying "the whole
world lies under the control of the Evil One" (1 John 5:19b). If you aren't aware of this, then it only shows the level of control that Satan and his duped followers have... and shows you do not believe the Bible record... in which if you did, you would have the discernment to expose such "works of darkness" (Ephesians 5:11-13).

No matter though... Satan and his dupes are in for big surprises... Their New World Order is quite late on schedule, and indeed, shall never take place. America will take the brunt of Satanic hatred though, and will not survive in its present status.... which the Bible also predicts. After this though, the New World Order will suffer more reverses after reverses, as they are running right into the Bible Prophecy Period known as the End Times. The Illuminati elitists
are being lied to by their Satanic mediums and will find themselves increasingly
confounded, confused, and demoralized by mistruths, disinformation and outright lies.... Well, welcome to the World of Satan... and defeat.

I found this book to be thoroughly uninformitive. The author's "understanding" of his subject matter was non-existant and he made many statements that were blatantly wrong and altogether idiotic. If I could I would give this book negative five stars.

An outdated, alarmist collection of urban legends and conspiracy theories is not a 'true story'

I know quite a bit about Satanism. Carl has actually only touched the outer edges of this subject. I have actually met Carl since he wrote this book and his knowledge has expanded greatly. Unfortunately those who write to expose this subject matter are often harassed beyond the general populations ability to comprehend, because the practioners behind the scenes wish to remain anonymous. Yes, there are gangs that adopt practices after seeing a movie or reading a story or playing dungeons and dragons, etc. However, this problem is much more prevalent than most wish to acknowledge. If you want to know what is going on behind the "news" this is a good starter read. Other books such as "Bloodlines of the Illuminati", "Thanks for the Memories, the truth has set me Free", "A Nation Betrayed", books by David Icke, "Cheque Mate, the Game of Princes", "Michelle Remembers", "Deadly Deception" "MK", "The New World Order" by A. Ralph Epperson, "Why Johnny Can't Come Home", "The Franklin Cover-Up" are also excellent resources (I have read or spoken with the authors of these books).

This book is a quickly thrown together, very poorly researched attack on a subculture that is not understood. The "Satanic" threat is just a bunch of idiotic, inbred, trashy teens from small towns that think that its cool to kill a dog to get power. There is a growing movement of people, me included, that with intelligence and carefull political manuevering, are trying to make the United States a better place for non-Christians. I am Buddhist, and when people find that out, they react in horror or don't understand it. But we have freedom of religion in this country. And this stupid, ignorant book, written probably for quick profit by a greaseball that knows a lot of "god-fearing" people will react to their xenophobia, is just not worth your reading time, unless you want to laugh, and believe me, I got quite a few belly laughs from this one!

I found that this book had information which is false to the religion of Satanism. Though not a Satanist myself, Ive studied the religion... What this book describes are more or less teenagers out to cause a bit of havoc, and just have fun in their own way. This book is very uninformative and biased, I cant recommend it.
