I just ordered this book and already I have found things I want to try and create. This book is a FANTASTIC addition to my scrapbooking library. I feel from the step by step instructions I can create my own pages and have fun making my own paper. This book shows me that I can take basic items from home and my scrapbook supplies and make my own special paper to enhance the story for my photos. I also think it will help me try new things that I was always afraid to try. MY 8 year old daughter is excited to try these techniques as well. I think this book is not only for scrapbookers but for all papercrafters and artists.

This book has changed the way I view my scrapbook pages and layouts. Melynda uses ordinary household items (who would have thought to use bubble wrap?) to make extraordinary designs that will make your scrapbook stand out from the crowd. No longer content to choose paper from the local store, I've been challenged to design my own so that my scrapbook is truly unique to me. The pictures are beautiful and the instructions are clear. They are easy enough for even the most novice of scrapbookers to follow along with to create their own works of art! I recommend this book to the scrapbook artist who wants to move to the next level.

Painted Scrapbook Pages is an attractive, interesting, and
helpful book. Any scrapbooker, from the novice to the expert,
can use these helpful hints to add creativity to their personal
scrapbooks. The book includes clear pictures, a list of
materials and tools, which are easily accessible, and step
by step procedures. Each technique also includes pictures of finished
layouts for ideas on how the technique can be used in a
scrapbook. I purchased a second copy for my high school
library for the art students and scrapbook enthusiasts.

I have to admit that I'm kind of embarrassed that I didn't think of some of these ideas myself. They're so simple! But they're very effective. There are lots of ideas in here for producing some interesting backgrounds for your scrapbook pages or other art projects.

This book was very interesting and it gave me lots of ideas that I can use in my own scrapbook...plus the layouts and pictures were very well put together!
