Are you tired of regular worship music?,
By Steve (New Mexico) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Painting the Invisible (Audio CD)
If you love modern worship music, but are tired of the endless remakes of the same songs, LOOK NO FURTHER! Vicky Beeching is a breath of fresh air in the worship arena. With original songs, great music and vocals, and solid theology, this is a seriously great album.
If you enjoyed her debut album (in the U.S.), "Yesterday, Today, & Forever," then you will really like this one. While this album has a different feel, it's still the same heart behind the songs. A heart that seems to only want to point others towards Christ. Are you a fan of Matt Redman, Delirious, Tim Hughes? If so, you will love the sound of another solid Brit worship album. What else can I say? Buy it, you will not be disappointed!

A Great Contemporary Worship Album,
By Indiana Jeff Reynolds "Preacher Jeff" (Indianapolis, IN USA) - See all my reviews

I cut my teeth on the CCM of the late '70's and early '80's. Now, I'm listening to artists young enough to be my children. Assuming the title of this project's finale ("Twenty-Six Summers") reflects her age, Vicky Beeching would have been two when my wife and I got married.
If I was her father, I would be very proud of her with this great project. There are great worship songs on this project. Some of them have a hymn-like sound (e.g. "The Wonder Of The Cross"); some have hymn titles (e.g. "Hallelujah What A Savior" or "Everlasting Arms"); and some borrow words from hymns (e.g. "Join The Song"). My favorite tracks from this project are "Join The Song", "Great Is Your Glory", "At All Times", "The Wonder Of The Cross", "Everyone Under the Sun", "Suddenly", and "Only Your Love". Let me mention two more things, the first being the one criticism and the second being another pat on the back to Vicky for a job well done. The criticism (in my opinion) is her cover picture. To me, her facial expression is almost daring you to listen to her. I know a lot of covers try to get the artist to look cool, but with a project like this, I would recommend that the picture reflects the joy of the Lord that is expressed via the music. The praise is that she includes guitar chords for some of the songs on the lyrics sheet. This way, a musician can sing along. This is a great idea.

Amazing Album of Worship!,
By
This review is from: Painting The Invisible (MP3 Download)
Vicky Beeching caught my ear a few years ago when I heard her distinct vocals & vertical worship lyrics on Above All Else and Yesterday, Today & Forever from The Journey EP and Worship Together collections. I loved her first major label release, especially Captivated but she really blew me away with Painting The Invisible.
The opening single Join The Song is a joyful, modern version of the ancient liturgy known as "The Doxology." Every song is catchy and biblical including Hallelujah What A Savior, Everlasting Arms and the autobiographical Twenty-Six Summers. Two amazing worship songs really stand out to me especially, Great Is Your Glory based on John 1:14 and The Wonder Of The Cross based on Hebrews 9:28. In both songs, Vicky brings you right there with her in worship of our Savior as she reflects on the sacrifice, grace, wonder and glory of the cross.

Great album,
This review is from: Painting the Invisible (Audio CD)
I was really looking forward to the release of "Painting the Invisible" as I loved Vicky's first album. I'm pleased to say that this has not disappointed. It's slightly more "rocky" than the first album but as with the first the lyrics are superb. I bought this album for a friend and she rang me the next day to say how much she loved it. Also my 15 year old daughter has "borrowed " it and loves it. If I ever get it back I will continue to listen to the album and enjoy it more each time. Well done Vicky on an excellent album!
