Adele Earnshaw's paintings defy categorization. The uniqueness comes from her penchant for combining colourful and nostalgic items like handmade quilts, china and lace with small songbirds or kittens and bathing them all in beautiful sunlight. Earnshaw breaks down the most important subject elements of her paintings and shows how to paint them in a number of mini-demos. Then, she focuses on adding the "tender touch" to the compositions - birds, cats, and ladybirds. There are also a number of complete painting demonstrations that combine all of the lessons taught earlier in the book.

I have borrowed this book from a friend and thought it might be helpful.The price was right but it took a lot longer to get to me than my usual Amazon orders, probably because it was from a different book dealer.
