Antonio Florio and the people from La Cappella de'Turchini keep discovering invaluable gems from the Naples archives.
Pulcinella Vendicato is a delicious little comic opera that is quite a find, trust me, you will love it. Paisiello may be best remembered as the composer of the first Barbiere di Siviglia, but he was a masterful composer in his own right, and his many operas should be far better known. Let's hope that this excellent recording of Pulcinella helps to wet the appetite for more, the music is very, very good.
