More About the Author
Marty is from a family of artists going back several generations. Raised in Santa Barbara, she pursued her creative interests from an early age, settling on the batik technique in the early 60's. From simple pieces the work grew into very detailed paintings earning her a reputation is area galleries as well as in the illustration field. In 1980 she switched to watercolor and pursued opportunities with art publishing firms and has since enjoyed seeing her designs used as book illustration, posters, puzzles, greeting cards, plate designs and calendars. Her primary focus in the last 15 years has been as an illustrator for Dover Publications where she has had 230 books published that include a series of coloring books of many of the famous painters and art movements as well as a variety of design and activity books for artists and children, Marty lives in Anna Maria Florida, where she finds continual inspiration for her current series of photo art prints. Her passion for photography and mastery of computer art programs have enabled her to marry the two in her recent print series depicting the natural beauty of southern Florida

I am also a grown up that likes to color. The Dover coloring books are really great and very well priced for a quality product. I happen to love the paisley designs - hard to get bored with these shapes. Dover coloring books rule!

It's absolutely amazing how every time you work on one of these images they come out different, perhaps reflecting your mood.The Paisley Designs Coloring Book is so much creative fun, adults will adore it. Dover puts out some of the best publications like this. If you're stuck in the house on a rainy day, staying home sick from work, or just looking for some cool coloring fun -- I highly recommend this book!

This is a fun little coloring book for anyone. I use it for scrapbooking backgrounds, but you could use it for anything! Children of all ages could have fun with this book.
