I'm 13, and I used to play this game all the time on the computer on a CD. My mom gave it away, though, because she thought I was too old for it. One day I REEEEEEEEAAAAAALLLLLLLYYYYYYYY wanted to play it, so I just ordered the wii game instead, and it is still so much fun!!!! Its kinda aimed toward youg kids, but they will seriously love it forever. It is very easy to be guided through. You are transported to the land of darkness, but it really isnt scary, because the creators balance it all out with a lot of humor. You are looking for the Boogie Monster, who turns out to be a lonely and kind monster who needs a friend and enjoys playing tic-tac-toe with cheese and crackers. It is maybe kinda scary for little kids, because you must walk through the mansion which is actually very nice, but dark and not well lit, and a couple of funny things jump out at you sometimes that might freak out young children. But for little boys who are in the superhero-stage, this game is a must to own.

I was concerned about some of the reviews indicating this game was just a "point and click" type of adventure, but it's not. You have to use your mind to actively solve puzzles (e.g., how to cross the river in a boat that doesn't believe it will float) that are challenging even to an adult mind. I confess I had to look up some "hints" online to solve some of the puzzles. My 5 1/2 year old loved this game, but I did too. Definitely worth playing!

I first played this game way back when I had like Windows 95 or 98 and was looking to update and decided to go with the Wii version. The Wii version is essentially the same as the original, which was a fun game, even today being a 20 year old. It's fun for kids of all ages to play but the game is quite short once you get the hang of it and play it a few times.

As a mom of 4, ages 2, 4 (twins) and 5 when we acquired this game, it is a family favorite. Like the PC games, it is a point and click based game, but it does require some critical thinking skills. One section of the game play requires reading, but other than that, my children were able to play this mostly on their own. You have the ability to save multiple games - handy if each child has their own game, it is a single player game.
This is one of 2 games I could allow my young children to play on their own with little or no assistance. The other Wii game is Go, Diego, Go Safari Rescue. The only drawback to Pajama Sam is that once you solve the game, that's it. The outcome never changes. Still worth the $$, you can always trade it in for credit towards other games at resale shops after your children outgrow it.

I was looking for a game my 3 year old could play and since this was simple controls I thought she could handle it. I bought it based on the two reviews and was not disappointed. It is kinda old school graphics. All my children love the game and they are 3, 6 and 8. Even my husband played it, but I had to tell him to stop because the kids were watching and I wanted them to figure things out for themselves. Its an adventure game with "I spy" features and logic rolled into one.

Pajama Sam was always a computer favorite, and now the kids are enjoying it on the Wii. It is actually quite a bit easier to navigate in this format. Even my 9 year old has had a good time with it.

I purchased this game for my 17-year old daughter because it reminded her of the computer game she used to play with a neighbor when they were younger. Yes, it is a bit juvenile for her. However, it filled that place in her that only this particular game could. If you have a younger child, they will love it. It is not scary, but fun.

I have a 5 year old boy who at first didn't know what to do in the beginning and quit a few times. But, after I played with him for about an hour, he started to get very interested and started wanting to play himself. Definitely a good family game to play together. Might be a little bit difficult to let a 5-6 year old kid just play by himself, so I wouldn't categorize it as a babysitting game. There are little puzzles that are just challenging enough to make the game really exciting when they figure it out. There are also a lot of clue-giving too to help out the kids. Pajama Sam's antics and the graphics are dazzling and provide a lot of side-entertainment. It probably took us 3-4 hours to get to the end. For the price, it was good quality entertainment. As for the storyline, Darkness was supposed to be an evil, scary villain, but it didn't turn out that way. The ending blew my boy's mind, and he kept talking about what it meant. We both highly recommend it.

We got this game and before long, the entire family was playing it. It is addicting and you will find yourself going back to it over and over again. It requires a good memory and a sense of adventure. I would recommend this for both kids AND adults. It's just a really fun time.
