Once again, Vicentico shares his amazing talent, with great songs like Felicidad and El Arbol de la Plaza, using outstanding brasses, tropical beats and rythms, and with the collaboration of musical geniuses like Andres Calamaro.

You must own this CD if you are a Fabulosos Cadillacs and Vicentico fan.

Para aquellos amantes de la música de Vicentico como solista recomiendo ampliamente Los Pajaros, Vicentico nos regala excelentes temas en estilos muy variados, en este cd se incluye un temazo, Si me Dejan.

Vicentico presents "Los pajaros", a follow up to his second album "Los rayos". How is this album compared to his two previous solo albums? The answer is better, throughout the ten tracks of this album you can clearly notice the evolution on his style and music, this album comes to consolidate Vicentico as one of the greatest latin american singers there are. The first single, "El arbol de la plaza" may give you an idea on what to expect from the rest of the album. Vicentico delivers ten of his best songs so far one after another in this disc.

The albums has also some contributons from some guests and friends of his, Daniel Melingo and Senor Flavio partake in "El baile" and "Las manos", Senor Flavio participates in one of the highlights of the album, "Si me dejan". Andres Calamaro also makes a surprise appearance singing with Vicentico "Felicidad".

A set of ten great songs to listen and dance make of this album one of the best of the year, the wide range of styles make it difficult to catalog, but Vicentico succeeds in all styles he has tried for this release ("Fantasma" has become one of my favorite tracks). A special edition was also released that contains a bonus DVD with the video for "El arbol de la plaza" as well as a behind the scenes of the recording of the video. Some pictures and biography are included in it as well as four bonus videos from previous albums: "Los caminos de la vida" (and his metaphor of soccer being like life), "Algo contigo", "Se despierta la ciudad" (the uncensored version that shows the kids holding guns) and "Tiburon". The extras may not be too many but they are well worth the extra bucks. The only complain I have about the DVD is that it is presented in non-anamorphic widescreen.

A must for fans and music collectors.

I've been Vicentico's Fan since LFC. And according the works of this masterpiece, I will always be. He's a got this wonderful way of singing and his poetry is ashtonishing. Along with Kevin Johansen and Andrés Calamaro, he's one of my favorites. Give yourself the pleasure to listen to Los Pajaros. Give yourself the gift of listening to a heart who sings , thinks, and makes you think too!
