This book gives the rest of the world (beyond the active participants in the war) an insider's view on the forces behind the war in Kargil and their actual agendas. It is well written, factual and low on the usual propaganda that comes out of most voices in India and Pakistan.Well done.

history jeoperdized,
This review is from: Pak Proxy War: A Story of ISI, bin Laden and Kargil (Hardcover)
The author has set on a cheap selling style which is even evident from his choice of title words for the book. Pasting bin Laden's name on a title may be attarctive to some eyes but what he had to do with the core issue, which has not been substantiated in any way in the whole of the book. If history could be eluded with perceptions then the honourable author has won. What he has clearly failed to sate is the simple fact of all of this tyranny in the Indian held vally of Kashmir. That is, India's total defiance and non-respect to UN resolution on the subject of Kashmir. He could have been better off jujst visiting the webpage of UN and refernce open resolutions slapped on the face of India instead of jeaperdizing the hsitory through clubing of irrelated sbjects in a sensational way. What we Indians need to learn from history is that facts cannot be changed and respect only come to us if we respect others.

The Book By Rajeev Sharma,

This review is from: Pak Proxy War: A Story of ISI, bin Laden and Kargil (Hardcover)
This book is very biased. I think that buying this book well be just a waste of money. This book is very good for the Nationalist Indians, because what this book describe is what their wish is, their dream, but the whole world knows the truth. 850,000 Indians troops against 600 Mujahideens. It was the USA pressure that made Pakistan withdraw the Mujahideens from Kashmir, not the feminent Indian soldiers. Let's not deny the facts.

Facts or fiction?,

This review is from: Pak Proxy War: A Story of ISI, bin Laden and Kargil (Hardcover)
I am very disappointed with this highly distorted, untrue and twisted book by Ranjeev Sherma. It wouldnt hurt to put some truth behind his claims. Author is more interested in blaming ISI for India's ills and cover up rapes and killings by the Indian army.

Hysterical Delusions,

This review is from: Pak Proxy War: A Story of ISI, bin Laden and Kargil (Hardcover)
This book is not very fact-based nor is it objective. It merely bases its assumptions on a bunch of hear-says. Not recommended!
