5.0 out of 5 stars Nearly Indestructible, August 24, 2009

This review is from: Pak-lite LED Flashlight, Basic Economy
No bulbs (an L.E.D. is not a bulb in my book), no glass, nothing fancy, this thing is as tough as an old boot. Throw it on the floor, if the battery is OK then the thing will work.

Buy a half dozen of them and throw one in with your spare tire, one in the glove box, one in your tool chest, one in your tackle box anywhere you might need a light.

It will work scratched, dented, dirty or even wet. I am a believer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Emergency Light, February 3, 2009
This review is from: Pak-lite LED Flashlight, Basic Economy
These little lights should be a mandatory purchase for anyone. They are very cheap, very bright and last forever. Whenever there is a power outage we use these to light a room. Granted they won't make the room bright enough to read in, but they provide very safe room illumination. We use them as candle or lantern replacements.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great light, January 19, 2009
This review is from: Pak-lite LED Flashlight, Basic Economy
I bought one of these thinking it was just unique, but when I climbed Half Dome during the full moon, my headlight broke and I used this little light. It was bright and didn't fade during the trek up. I was very happy I had included it in my pack for the trip.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little light!, September 1, 2010
This review is from: Pak-lite LED Flashlight, Basic Economy
This is a wonderful product! The only reason I give it 4-stars instead of 5-stars is the single-mode light. It is either on full blast or off. Don't get me wrong, This light beats the "micro keychain button battery" type lights by a million miles. If you can afford a few bucks more, go for the upgraded model (the one where the LEDs are further apart) it has a LO/OFF/HI switch. As a survivalist, I really prefer the ability to choose. The low setting really extends the battery life, still allows for reading without waking others, and as a night-light. Buy THIS one for the kids or as a gift. Buy the next upgrade model for yourself!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy Dandy Little Light!, September 21, 2009
This review is from: Pak-lite LED Flashlight, Basic Economy
I purchased two of the 9 volt lights shortly before my area experienced a derecho ... some called it an inland hurricane ... a super wind and rain storm that resulted in a five day power outage for my town with millions of dollars worth of damages. I bought them as I was preparing an emergency disaster kit. I never expected to use it so soon.

When the lights were placed on a table they were bright enough to provide light to safely move around a room. When placed closer you could read by them.

Since the day I bought them one has been in my pocket at all times. I use my flashlight daily to look in dark cabinets and closets, locate small items I've dropped before my dog finds them and find doggie toys that have been lost under or behind the furniture. Since my freezer has no light in it it's no problem with my 9 volt light. If I get up at night I depend on my little flashlight rather than turning on room lights. It seems like I'm always finding new uses for it.

Nearly anyone can use one. From Boy/Girl Scouts to repairmen to senior citizens and every one in between. I'm a great-g'mother and obviously I appreciate mine. If you need a gift you hadn't planned on ... one size fits all.

After more than 6 months of daily use I'm still on the first battery and my lights are burning brightly.

I have been watching for a 9 volt flashlight for some years now. I never know what to do with the batteries I replace in my smoke alarms each year. Finally a 9 volt flashlight!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good small LED light, February 21, 2010

I just got mine and it seems to work very well. The one downside, and the reason for four stars instead of five, is that the switch is in a position where it could be accidently turned on in your pocket and it that were to happen and run your battery down you would have no light at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful little light, March 13, 2009

This little light is plenty bright enough to read by in bed. It's plenty bright enough to find your way around in the dark. It's plenty bright to cause cars to give you space when you're walking at night. It's plenty bright for many things. When my smoke detector needs a new battery, the battery I remove still has plenty of power to energize this little flashlight for many hours. I have several of them, and I keep one every place it might be handy. I keep one by my PC to illuminate the back of the PC when I have to plug or unplug something; it makes it easy to see the labels on the jacks. The top glows in the dark for a few hours after you turn it off, so it's easy to find in a dark room. It's great to have it on the nightstand in a hotel room. I like this inexpensive model of the flashlight best, because the switch is easy to find and use with my thumb. Switches are the cause of most problems with flashlights and other electronics. However, the switch on this inexpensive little flashlight seems well-made, and it feels like it will last for ever.

This is a great idea for a little light. Fits on top of a 9V battery and gives off a bright beam. I use mine when I need to get around the house at night without bothering anyone with turning on a house light. I keep my room dark when working on the computer and use this light to find things in drawers, stuff dropped on the floor, and plugging in USB cords. One battery last a long time.
