Bootleg! Avoid this one, wait for Blue Moon release, April 3, 2008
This review is from: Pal Joey - Original Soundtrack (Audio CD)
1. This is a bootleg 2. It is not in stereo as the cover states; the film was released in mono and Capitol didn't feel the need to mix their soundtrack lp for stereo in 1957 3. If you have this on vinyl it will sound as good or better than this CD, which sounds like it was dubbed from vinyl 4. Blue Moon is about to release an official CD from the master tapes (April 2008) so wait for it! 5. "Bonus tracks" are bootlegged from the CD releases of "On The Town" and the complete Sinatra on Columbia set. What a shameless ripoff.

Bad Sound, March 12, 2008
This review is from: Pal Joey - Original Soundtrack (Audio CD)
This new Delta CD sounds terrible. Don't buy it unless you need the extra Frank Sinatra tracks -- the original CD of the Pal Joey soundtrack is far superior.

Pal Joey movie soundtrack & much more from Sinatra & friends., February 29, 2008
This review is from: Pal Joey - Original Soundtrack (Audio CD)
This CD is a great buy! It includes the entire soundtrack to the movie Pal Joey (1957) starring Frank Sinatra, Rita Hayworth (voice of Jo Ann Greer), Kim Novak (voice of Trudi Erwin) and Bobby Sherwood. In addition to the great Rodgers & Hart songs from the movie, including "The Lady Is A Tramp", "Zip", "Bewitched Bothered And Bewildered", "There's A Small Hotel", "I Could Write A Book" etc., the CD includes a bunch of classic songs from other films of Frank Sinatra: "Love Is The Tender Trap" from The Tender Trap 1955, "That Old Black Magic" from Meet Danny Wilson 1952, "New York New York" with Gene Kelly and Jules Munshin from On the Town 1949, "Three Coins In A Fountain" from Three Coins In The Fountain 1954, "Young At Heart", "Someone To Watch Over Me" and "Just One Of Those Things" from Young At Heart 1954, "A Lovely Way To Spend An Evening" from Higher And Higher 1943, "Some Other Time" from with Gloria DeHaven from Step Lively 1944, "All Of Me" from Meet Danny Wilson 1952, "If You Knew Susie Like I Know Susie" with Gene Kelly from Anchors Aweigh 1945, "Time After Time" from It Happened In Brooklyn 1947. This CD is a great find.
