5.0 out of 5 stars The smooth sounds of Cafe d'Afrique
If youre looking for a very relaxing, mellow and laid back sound Cafe d'Afrique is just the thing for you. The house style drum beat that is featured on a majority of the tracks keeps the entire album exciting, fresh and upbeat, while the melodic vocal melodies and synthy chords keep the feel of the album mellow and sophisticated. 3.0 out of 5 stars Decent CD
Definetly far away from trash. I like this CD but i have to give bias to the first 2. Its a good touch putting superstars like Corinne Bailey Rae to balance things out and its fly.. but I don't see how she gives compliment to the Afrique part of the CD.... shes from England by the way (Had to wiki it before getting E-Kicked for ignorance) Still not worth a bootleg...

This review is from: Palace Lounge Presents Cafe D'Afrique 3 (Audio CD)
If youre looking for a very relaxing, mellow and laid back sound Cafe d'Afrique is just the thing for you. The house style drum beat that is featured on a majority of the tracks keeps the entire album exciting, fresh and upbeat, while the melodic vocal melodies and synthy chords keep the feel of the album mellow and sophisticated. Its definite lounge material and would be a great addition to anyones party playlist. Its sound is very trendy and would serve as great background music for any social occasion. It is definitely a great representation of the New York City SOHO nightlife scene, while remaining accessible to the average listening situation as well. I highly recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cafe Afrique CD, August 25, 2007
This review is from: Palace Lounge Presents Cafe D'Afrique 3 (Audio CD)
Was advertised to me as a CD of a specific artist, but was compiled of numerous unfamiliar artists. Would liked to have received a greater description of other artists.
