5.0 out of 5 stars THIS ALBUM KICKS @SS!!!!!!, April 15, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Paladins (Audio CD)
After Seeing the Paladins in Jaxon Ms in 84' it changed my life. These guys are the real deal. If you like your rockabilly straight up and not sugar coated like the Stray Cats this record is for you.Dave G. is the man and one of the best guitarist of our time and deserves much more recognition than the likes of Johnny Lang. BUY this record and do yourself the favor.......G.lover

5.0 out of 5 stars this is my favourite album by the pals, January 12, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Paladins (Audio CD)
i'm currently the tour guy for the paladins and this is my favourite record by them. I love the paladins but i wasnt too big on million mile club, (too much like blues) and lets buzz was alright. year since yesterday is almost as good as this one. that would be my second choice. i like the rockabilly sounds better than the blues stuff. this album is definately a great record here. see you on the road sometime

The Paladins carry the torch lit by The Blasters as America's most important Rockabilly/ Roots Rock Band in the World. The world covets what America creates, what is truly American...and The Paladins create American music. If you don't know who the Paladins or The Blasters are- go look for Britney or Madonna

5.0 out of 5 stars The first is the best for me, but everything they do rocks!, February 26, 2005

I bought this one because the Rounder Records catalog raved about it when it was first released. I still remember the first time I put it on the turntable and heard the first track and just flat out knew right away that this would be one of my favorite records of all time. Flash forward to 2005 and I still listen to it all the time. Rockabilly and country infused blues that just grabs you and won't let go. I may have seen this band more times live than any other band I have seen and they have played the Lone Star Round Up every year since it started and I am still not tired of seeing them play. Line up changes, records being more blues than rockabilly, records being more rockabilly than blues...I have stuck with them through it all and I still love them. This is the best record they ever did, but you can not go wrong with any thing they have put out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Salud to Dave & the boys!, February 29, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Paladins (Audio CD)
To give you an idea of how hot this cd is, the band continues to pick at least four tracks to perform live: Make It, Lover's Rock, Daddy Yar and Let'er Roll. Simply a great collection of rockin' and dancin' tunes. If you're at a red light, you'll be jumpin' out of your car just to shake 'n bake.

Maybe this the best rockabilly CD ever, I haven't been around long enough to know, but this the one that did it for me. If you ever get the chance to check these guys out live, you'll know why they're so big in Holland and Belgium....
