Every recipe has a picture presumably taken by the author. This author has actually made every recipe in the book. This is not common in Kindle-only books.

Almost all of the ingredients are paleo. As the description notes, there is no sugar. But most of the recipes have a huge amount of raw honey (up to one cup, which is about 280 net carbs). Honey would have been an extremely rare treat. Bees have a very effective mechanism to keep animals away from their honey. One of the reasons the paleo diet is healthy is the avoidance of carbs. I don't know why other reviewers are writing the recipes have no carbs. Honey is most certainly a carb.

There are a few recipes with no sweetener added. For example: Sweet Potato Surprise Cookies, Deluxe Mango Banana Smoothie, Sumptuous Chestnut Cake, Spiced Apple Muffins, Very Berry Smoothie, and Peachy Raisin Pie. Some look like they are worth making. But they all also have some carbs.

If you see this book on a day that it is free go for it.

I just got this kindle book and tried out the Healthy Raspberry Muffin recipe. Since 12 eggs is a LOT, I made a half-batch. My goal has been to get my 2 yr old to eat more eggs, since she's become really picky lately and would live on peanut butter if I let her. These muffins were really tasty! I didn't cook them quite long enough, but the ones that were done enough popped right out of the silicon pan I used. They were a tad greasy because of the coconut oil. I kinda overdid it with the berries in the larger muffins, and I used blueberries in mini muffins for my daughter. They were fantastic for a recipe that is primary eggs, and a definite treat when you're trying to stay away from traditional baked goods. I'll definitely make these again, and lessen the amount of honey I put in.

I recently got my family on a diet. And to be honest, we've all been struggling in the dessert department. We haven't all gone paleo but I heard of the term before and decided to look into it. Surely enough, when I found out there were paleo desserts and this book offerred them, I immediately bought it, and started churning out one recipe after the other! Everyone loves them, even the little kids! They aren't gross, they dont taste like cardboard! They actually have flavor. And the best part is they dont even have carbs! Spiced Apple muffins are a morning favorite here, and together, we've all lost about 340 lbs!

You have no idea how hard it is to commit to something you really can't commit to. As an avid crossfitter, I pride myself in doing the best I possibly can for myself and my body. I train extensively and well...when it comes to dieting, my priorities aren't as solid. And its primarily because of the temptations of that sweet tooth that just wont leave you alone, or that undeniable hunger for that one slice of red velvet cake, or that chocolate fudge cookie.

I've heard about the paleo diet for months, and always attempted it--with minimal results. Then I somehow stumbled into this book. I swear I did a double take when I saw the words "dessert" and "paleo" one after the other. I immediately purchased the book and read through it in fiery excitement. You just won't believe the things that are in here. No carbs, no sugar, all natural, and mouth-wateringly delicious.

One of the first things I made were the Walnut Almond Dream cookies...and I washed it down with the Very Berry Smoothie! I eat these two religiously! This is the greatest thing that's ever fallen into my hands! I never write reviews this long, but I had to for this book! If you're doing paleo, like I'm doing now, this will surely become your new bible!
