For me, I love to eat a light but healthy breakfast and filling lunch and light dinner so LUNCH is my BIG meal of the day. What I was looking for in a cookbook is healthy Paleo lunches that are easy to make and delicious to eat. This book fulfills both of my requirements and then some! Below I will share with you the PROS of this book:

+ Table of Contents with links to each Chapter! This is such a time-saver because I can press the blue link to the Chapter I want to read in the Table of Contents and be brought instantly to it.

+ Chapter 3 is one of my favorites because there is a list of foods to stock up on. I took notes in my spiral notebook while reading this chapter of the foods I needed from the store. Result: Shopping was so much easier!

+ Chapter 4 - Egg Recipes - This is my most favorite chapter as I learned EGGS ARE OK to eat now and so healthy and love the recipes for them as: Healthy Egg Salad, Eggs on a Nest, Eggs with Bacon and Spinach, Vegetable Frittata.

+ Chapter 5 - Beef, Pork and Poultry Recipes - Everyone in this chapter I love!

This book is a must read if you are getting into Paleo diet type of eating! Highly recommend this book!

Nick Bell has published so many books about health, nutrition, well being both of body and of mind that it seems only expected that he would approach the Paleo Diet and all its permutations. In this very well written book he gets to the basics right away - a fine, concise history of the Paleo diet of our ancestors up to the present increased popularity of the Paleo diet as a means to control weight, boost the immune system, and enjoy a great state of health and well being. Or as Nick states, `Fad diets come and go. I mean, you can probably name two or three fad diets right now off the top of your head. The fact is that our bodies crave something that is nutritious, delicious and yet our schedule needs a meal plan that is not terribly time consuming. The solution: The Paleo Diet for Weight Loss: Quick & Easy Paleo Lunch Recipes to Help You Lose Weight, Supercharge Your Health and Look Amazing.'

This particular book (there are several in this series) concentrates on lunches. Nick tells how to evaluate our kitchen and pantry, what to have on hand and how to shop, and then proceeds to offer recipes with detailed ingredients and instructions on preparing lunches of Paleo Egg Recipes (such as Healthy Egg Salad and Scrambled Eggs with Salmon), Paleo Beef, Pork and Poultry Recipes (try Turkey with Apple Sauce), Paleo Fish and Seafood Recipes, Paleo Drinks and Desserts, and Homemade Condiments for Paleo Lunches. The only thing missing in this book is a set of photographs to accompany the recipes - always a good guideline when starting out.

After the recipes section there is more information about how to adjust your life to the Paleo lifestyle, what you may and may not have for snacks, a fine section of Gluten Free diet, etc.

I'm usually not one for recipe books or nutrition books or anything like that. But I have been dragging through my work outs and I finally realized it's because my diet is off. When it comes to physical activity I'm pretty disciplined. Growing up I was a competitive dancer and I'm currently active in Zumba and other dance and aerobic. My big weakness is nobody ever taught me how to eat properly. I recently hired a wellness coach and she recommended this book to me. I'm SO glad she did. It was simple enough not to overwhelm me. I've tried many of the recipes and I feel 10 times better. I actually got in a TWO HOUR work out yesterday without feeling weak. I'm about to go pack tomorrow's Paleo lunch right now!

To keep it simple, this book has great, simple recipes that fit perfectly into the Paleo diet. I work at an office and I always find heavy lunches just put me right into a coma. I just started with some of the recipes in the book and found that they gave me so much more energy than before! I'm going to keep using this book, and then brainstorm some of my own ideas.

This book is packed full of amazing recipes that are written in way that I found to be really easy to follow and try out for myself. Don't let the easy-to-follow steps fool you, these recipes are DELICIOUS if done correctly. I have only tried a few but I am amazed by how great they taste while still taking a natural approach. I am not a dedicated paleo eater yet, but this book is definitely making the transition easier for me. I highly recommend it

This book includes certain explanations as a "paleo for beginners" book would have, but also provides value way beyond entry level information, in my opinion. The recipes that the author provides look appetizing and fairly effortless (for people on the go). I liked how she discussed the importance of specific meals and what foods that I should stock up on to make this lifestyle adjustment even easier. I'm glad that I bought this book and look I forward to using the recipes daily.

WOW ... I previously thought that diets are a pain. The fact that a diet can be fun and there are so many great recipes I did not know. I combine the great recipes now with my fitness training and feel very comfortable with it. Thanks for the great ideas and suggestions.
