Using TinEye I checked the two photos on the author's page. Both are stock photos sold at more than one stock photo site.

I then checked the photos in the book. ALL of them are stock photos. They are not pictures of the accompanying recipes.

With stock photos it is unlikely that the author has made any of the recipes in the book. So I checked the "Pumpkin Nut Bread." I easily found it at the runningtothekitchen website. The original recipe name is "Pumpkin Seed Nut Bread." The ingredient list was slightly rearranged. (Quantities that were spelled out there are abbreviated here.) Words in the instructions were changed. E.g. Preheat became heat. "In a food processor, pulse half of the pumpkin seeds until finely chopped and almost a 'meal-like' consistency." became "Process half of the pumpkin seeds a grind to a fine consistency." Small bowl became separate bowl. And an ordered list there became a paragraph here.

I have no doubt that all of the books by this author are the same. Recipes taken from the web and paired with stock photos. Shameful.

I find it amusing that a paleo recipe book would be riddled with pictures that have grains. Not to mention suggesting peanut butter as a dip for finger foods. Peanut butter is about as paleo as oatmeal. Other than that, the cookbook had a decent selection of paleo snack recipes. Nothing stellar, but I would make a few.

I was surprised to see photos of food that isn't even in the book. For example, the Egg Muffin recipe is for a scrambled egg mixture baked in a muffin tin - basic paleo fare. However, the photo was of an Egg McMuffin made with an English muffin. Seriously? Just glad this book was free :(

There was nothing special or different in this book of recipes. I am glad it was free today. I was hoping for some recipes that were more interesting.

This book uses peanut butter as an ingredient. Peanuts are a legume and are NOT paleo. Because of this the title is misleading to those who are looking for a true paleo diet cookbook.
