Book Description

Chronicles of the Three Lands May 23, 2000
An evil queen holds the land of Palindor increasingly in her sway. The only creatures who might have stood up to her power, the Holy Gnomes, are longdead, killed by a suspicious fire that raged through the Holy Barrows of Perendeth.

But, unknown to everyone, two novices escaped the fire. Now, after years of waiting, the High Lord Olvensar visits the gnomes and tells them it is time to topple the queen. Aided by a mysterious young woman from another world, they set out to find the source of the queen's growing power and thwart her evil designs while there is still time.

Dark knights, spies, goblins, and other dangerous creatures mix with bickering crones, a particularly stupid three-headed troll and the golden-furred, amiable dablik to combine danger and romp as rival powers struggle for the future of Palindor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent start to the Three Lands Trilogy, March 10, 2010

The "Three Lands Trilogy" reminds me somewhat of "The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever" in that the main character is transported to an alternate world, but where Donaldson's fantasy goes on and on, Mr Evans gives us a more concise journey. The characters are tested and their values are shown. I have read a lot of fantasy series and highly recommend this one. A lot of fantasy book series are battles of good and evil and this is no exception but these characters have a human quality that reflects how people face trials and overcome them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Palindor, November 22, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Palindor (Paperback)
It was one of the best books I ever read. I'm more of Star Wars nerd so I don't really read books like normally. So this was a great experience for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good book! Captures your imagination and keeps you reading!, February 20, 2002

... The second book is in print now, and the third is coming soon...
Palindor was a great story that I wish I owned. It takes the ideas behind Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia and introduces new ideas, while expanding upon those by previous authors. Fantasy books are good for capturing peoples imaginations, and Palindor does just that. Congrats on a wonderful book, Mr. Evans. I enjoyed it. I'll definitely be buying this book...
