1.0 out of 5 stars Didn"t Work
I'm sorry I spent my money on a product that didn't work. It downloaded to my computer fast and easily--the hand held wouldn't sync with the computer. Perhaps it's my lack of computer know-how, but there weren't any instructions sent with it. Next time I'll go to a retailer and not on line.

5.0 out of 5 stars Has been working great for the last 7.5 years!, January 15, 2005

Pixy (Milpitas, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: PalmOne PalmPilot Professional Organizer (Office Product)
My PalmPilot Personal has been working great everyday in the last 7.5 years. It only has minor scratches in the graffiti area. I use lower voltage NiMH rechargable batteries with it so I think it is going to last a while. And it is made by US Robotics, and I get some attention when I bring it out of my leather belt clip case and use it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Palm computers manage a variety of useful tasks, November 20, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: PalmOne PalmPilot Professional Organizer (Office Product)
The 3Com PalmPilots manage a huge variety of business and personal tasks. Using a simple graphic interface incorporating handwriting recognition, the PalmPilot Professional comes ready to work with a calendar/datebook (with alarms and the ability to handle repeating tasks), address book, to-do list, notepad and calculator. Included software and a linking cradle allow you to swap information with a desktop computer.

The Palm platform is fertile ground for small software developers: fully featured, inexpensive applications for the Palm are available for virtually any need: financial and scientific calculators, database and small spreadsheet programs, document readers and, naturally, games.

In addition, a number of excellent commercial software packages offer Palm links to their Windows-based products, including the popular contact management program Act! and DeLorme's enormously useful map products. With the addition of a compatible GPS unit and cable, the Palm computer running downloaded DeLorme directions can guide you on a trip, giving advance notice of the next turn you'll need to make and displaying speed, elapsed mileage and other parameters.

Add-on devices include modems, an alphanumeric paging receiver, even a compass.

The Palm computers operate on two AAA batteries which, depending on your work habits and use of the backlit screen, will last for a month or so.

Much more than an executive 'toy', the PalmPilot computers offer excellent function in a small, well designed package. A gift that is sure to be appreciated by the businessperson or computer fanatic on your holiday shopping list.

By A Customer
This review is from: PalmOne PalmPilot Professional Organizer (Office Product)
The PalmPilot Professional will change your life. You will finally be able to rid yourself of the daily planners that you have grown to love over the years. From now on you'll have instant digital access to phone numbers, appointments, todo lists, and you'll even be able to check your email, or just play one of the thousands of games available on the internet for free download.

You can enter information three different ways: * with the stylus * typing on the on-screen keyboard * entering the info in the desktop software and hot-syncing

If you want to share your thoughts with others you can even buy the $100 upgrade card to bring infrared capabilities to your handheld! The possibilities are endless. You'll never regret the purchase. Take it from a user who's had one for over a year and a half!

The recipient of this gift will love you forever!

4.0 out of 5 stars A good PDA!!, July 22, 2007
By
This review is from: PalmOne PalmPilot Professional Organizer (Office Product)
This PalmPilot is good at storing phone numbers in Alphabetical order. It has a sensitive touch screen and a bright Backlight. You can get a wide variety of programs and games off the internet. It is Made in the U.S.A!! This palmtop is very sturdy and small in size. The built in touch-screen calculator is very cool. The only complaint about this item is there is only one megabyte of memory. This is a great item!

4.0 out of 5 stars Best PDA, but still could be improved, January 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: PalmOne PalmPilot Professional Organizer (Office Product)
I agree with most of the posts on the site -- this is the best-designed PDA for common tasks. My nits: it should be thinner and sturdier. For example, it will not survive a back pocket, it will look too geeky in a shirt pocket, and it's too thick too look good in an inside jacket pocket.

My other nit is it lacks built-in communications, but I the Palm III goes a long way toward solving that complaint.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the PalmPilot, April 25, 1999

I can do just about anything on my PalmPilot. I like it a lot better than the Franklin Day Planner. Not only that, it's portable so I can write as I go.

5.0 out of 5 stars My boss can't live without it, November 25, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: PalmOne PalmPilot Professional Organizer (Office Product)
I have seen my boss use many different products to keep track of things. I have used some of them myself, but the Palm Pilot is the best thing since the invention of white bread. It holds addresses, names, appointments, reminders, lists, you name it and it is download/uploadable to your pc. What could be better? My boss is planning on getting them for each of us.

5.0 out of 5 stars Replaced my DayRunner after 10 years, November 24, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: PalmOne PalmPilot Professional Organizer (Office Product)
After a decade of lugging around a DayRunner, and joking about losing my life if it were misplaced, I replaced my old reliable friend with this new one. True, it cost 30 times the price of an annual refill, but it "hotsyncs" with my computer and as a traveller, it stows much more easily in my carry-on than the DayRunner. As much a toy as a tool, it is a powerful device that tracks things in two places: if lost, it can be replaced, and the information is always backed up on my notebook computer.

I'd recommend it to someone interested in harnessing the power and capabilites of the digital age.
