This review is from: The Palm Tree Garden of Philip K. Dick (Kindle Edition)
Do not be deceived by the title of this book. It is not a place of serenity and leisure where animals wander at peace with each other and beautiful plants bloom by fountains. No. It is the center point of Valis. What's Valis you say? It is the Vast Active Living Intelligence System which encompasses and comprises all of us and everything that ever was and is and will be. Within the gate, if you will, of this book you will find the experiences of people awakening and realizing and reacting to the blur of religion, sci-fi, and myth and reality as filtered through the mind of one Philip K. Dick. Come, sit by Buddha, Howard, or the Great Punta and feel pink beams play across your brain. As you read you too will begin to awaken; and you know, your whole life has been just a prelude to this extraordinary moment. Here, in the garden. Don't wait any longer. Step in! I did and my reward was swift!
