I bought this for Mother's Day because my mother absolutely adores palm trees. Pretty much everything in the house has a palm tree on it, and I figured you can always use another lamp. She absolutely loves it, far beyond my expectations.

The light is nice and bright, and the palm trees are sharply defined and very attractive with the light on. The lamp is rather heavy, and the one thing I'm not too wild about is that the lid of the lamp doesn't snap into place at all but rather remains loose, which means that if you're handling the lamp and you don't know what you're doing, it's easier to drop it or for the lid to fall off. Because the lamp is heavy, breakable, and somewhat awkward, I would not recommend it for homes with small children or rowdy pets. However, for people with quiet homes, this is an attractive addition.

The tree painting on this product was "tacky" and I ended up scraping it off so it didn't look so cheap. I would not recommend this product. It is now in my attic.
