5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great With My Treo 650
All,

I bought this product recently and I am using it right now while I am writing this review. It works exactly as you should expect reading the description of the product. You get stereo playback from your MP3 files on your Treo. There is no doubt that these work with stereo output, I can distinctly hear the left and right separation on my songs...

2.0 out of 5 stars Palm Treo Headphone Adapter
It's a good product, but it's very big and with a bad move, it can broke the phone. Use it very carefully. I recomend to use a bluetooth stereo headset to avoid damage your Treo.

All,

I bought this product recently and I am using it right now while I am writing this review. It works exactly as you should expect reading the description of the product. You get stereo playback from your MP3 files on your Treo. There is no doubt that these work with stereo output, I can distinctly hear the left and right separation on my songs.

I actually own a (Cingular) GSM Treo 650 and wanted people to know that this product works great with it. It doesn't say that it works with the 650 anywhere because they probably just haven't updated the product description since the Treo 650's came out.

It does kind of suck that you have to buy this product at all. Palm should either provide it with the unit or build in a headphone jack in addition to the 2.5 mm jack. But what you gonna do.

Regards,

JWD1975

This adapter works flawlessly. Perhaps the other reviers headphones are on the blink. I have listened to quite a few tracks in which there are distinct left and right instuments, and found it to work perfectly. If you have a Treo 600 and would like to listen to Mp3's then it is a must have.

5.0 out of 5 stars It will work in stereo., January 29, 2005

At first I had the same mono problem. The adapter just wasn't plugged in all the way. The leather case on my 600 was keeping it out about 1/2mm A little snip to make the hole in the leather case bigger and it works perfect. Sounds great on quality headphones. Sounds incredible when patched through my car audio system. Buy it, you'll like it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well, December 5, 2004
This review is from: Palm Treo 600/650 Stereo Headphone Adapter (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Allows me to plug my stereo headphones into my 600 and get stereo sound out via the MP3 software. Only gripe is that this piece is necessary at all. I often forget to bring it since I switch back and forth between using it with the 600 and not using it with my laptop.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it's supposed to... IN STEREO, December 21, 2004

I don't know what the other reviewers are trying, but there is absolutely no doubt that this is a stereo adapter.

If you want to test it out, connect your STEREO headphones to this adapter and your phone and then play "Domination" by Pantera. Half of that song is guitars alternating left and right one at a time. You can't get much more proof that this adapter is stereo and works like a champ.

I bought it and I'd happily buy it again.

After looking for earphones for the Treo 650 and not finding any good one I decided to go the adapter route. Cant say I am dissapointed.
Although it does add to the length of the phone in your pocket and does'nt look very aesthetic, functionally I could'nt be happier.

This was written long after the purchase.

It is required, overpriced, and a bit bulky but ya gotta have it.

OK. I'm going to try something different but they do work, if only for a while. They only last a couple of months but I'm a very heavy user. This works a lot better then the straight adapter I got at radio shack. Do not buy the straight 2.5-3.5 adapter (the one with no flexible wire)! I had 2 of them have adapter tips break inside my treo. Luckily, sprint techs gave me a break both times and replaced my phone for free. I saw that someone had recommended the sedio adapter. They said it isn't on A but I was able to find this one from Sedio - ADA-25M35F - under Semco. So I'm going to give it a try.

1.0 out of 5 stars Be careful you don't damage your headset jack, May 6, 2008
This review is from: Palm Treo 600/650 Stereo Headphone Adapter (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Doesn't matter if it was made by Palm or not.

If I were you, I wouldn't use it on a Treo 650 - except temporarily for testing purposes.

Frankly, the audio jack on the Treo 650 is a known weak point. And it can break in a way that permanently silences the phone's built-in earphone.

If you want to read more about this, just Google "treo jack".

This L-shaped adapter can apply too much leverage on that little 2.5 mm jack. I you want a demonstration, go borrow an adapter, plug it in, and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Better get the type with a flexible cord. Sure, that kind eventually gets flakey - but it's cheaper to replace an adapter than to get your phone repaired.
