Sooner or later, everyone misplaces or loses their stylus, so it's always a good idea to have a backup available. And as long as you must, why not have one that doubles as a pen in a pinch?

Screwing the end off and actually writing with this mini isn't the easiest thing to do if you're past puberty, but it's really not that difficult, either.

I have experienced a problem with the plastic top catching and breaking off, but you can remove the back of the phone to remove the rest of the stylus should that occur.

These stylii serve the same function as any other, but be forewarned: it is not identical to the one that comes with your Treo 650. Whereas the stylus that comes with the phone is uniformly silver, this one has black plastic on both ends. Not a huge deal, but they do look a bit cheaper than the one you had.

What I received was not the OEM Palm Treo 700p stylus as represented or pictured. The OEM stylus that had come with the Palm Treo 700p fit snugly into the side of the Treo and had a removable tip in case the unit needed to be rebooted. The stylus that I received did not have a removable tip and has too small a diameter, so that it easily falls out of the Treo. Not recommended for Palm Treo 700p users.

I rated this product one star because it has a major flaw. It is amazing that Palm can have a product as long as they have had the Treo 650, and not have a good alternative for a stylus replacement. The stylists, while it functions okay as a stylus, fits so loosely in the stowage slot that is easily lost. I lost the first one within two days of receiving it. On subsequent units I have a put a gab of silicon sealant on the top of the unit to help keep it in the slot.

By the way, I never use the pen functionality. Palm should remove that feature, and invest in some way to keep the stylus in the slot until needed.

I was skeptical at first, because I wasn't sure if this will be the real deal or not. To my pleasant surprise, the item arrived packaged nicely, in a fairly timely manner, as an original Palm product, and it fit my Tro 650 very snugly and even better than the original! (Doesn't stick out like the original stylus kinda did).

I haven't used the pen part, but I see that as a nice-to-have. Now I have 3 styli, one in the Treo and two spares for the next time lose one.

Because the top of these replacements is black, they won't match the original color of the Treo. That doesn't bother me, and the picture they have on the listing is the actual product. Keep that in mind if you want a color match.

I bought this by mistake because it came up in the listing under Palm Centro. See if someone can place it in the correct category. I didn't realize till I had opened the package. Anyone want to buy an opened package?

Very useful product. Does exactly what it said it would do. Shipping & handling were on the high side, nearly exceeding the cost of the item.

This is a fine product although it does need a little strip of tape around it to keep in place. If that does not bother you than I recomend this product.

Fits well in my Treo 650 and comes in handy when I need a ball-point pen. It doesn't accidently fall out when I turn the Treo upside down, a problem I had with other stylus'. Also, I use the small pointer tip to reset the Treo when needed, another handy feature.
