A nurse's best tool,

Next to me and my steth, this Palm is my best tool at work. I use it as an alarm, to schedule my life and sync to my other computers, I can use docs and spreadsheets to multitask while waiting for something or on the bus, I can look up drugs or other words in my PDA Taber's or PDA Lippincott drug book, I can use a 5-minute clinical to help with diagnosing, I can play video games, listen to music, and there's even features I haven't explored yet wrt email and phone. It's amazing. It has BlueTooth (sp), and ... well, I really really really appreciate having it. It will be a profound asset as I continue in my nursing studies through RN to APRN and maybe even a PhD at UW.

This product will not HotSync with Windows 7...64
You need an older version of Windows to use this Palm. I tried every thing that support told me to do but in the end I had to return this item. I would like to have known this before I ordered it. My money was refunded but not the shipping cost. Also had to pay to ship it back.

Great product, but used could be refering to old software.,

The Palm Tungsten T5 ... came quickly, after a couple days I found out how to reset the palm pilot though the reset hole on the back. The palm pilot comes with a stylus on the side that can be used to type things in, write things in (which can convert to typed), and the black end cap can come off to be used in the reset hole. The Hot Sync cables, CD, and Charger were nice additions, but some other things like the cradle kit, and two items that look simular to outlet covers that it came with I don't know what their used for. Extra memory would be helpfull which I sent for. I don't know yet if I could use more than 1GB of memory with it, in a review about a memory card somebody who had a Tungsten T3 couldn't use more than 1.5GB with their palm pilot, but said other Tungstens were allright. The product was labeled used but, in very good condition and I believe that it was refering to the old software. The date before the palm pilot was reset was June 2004. Text documents can be converted through Microsoft Office Word 2007, and the "find" feature can be very beneficial. It came with software to store music, calender -apointments with alarm features, web features, world clock, Bluetooth features, contacts, several word processers, and it looks like headphones can be connected to it

PDA looks in alright condition. Still it is not having the classy touch and elegance of a fresh gadget. Would have preferred to have the charger along with this.
PS: This is a product review for the purchase of a used product and not the brand new Palm Tungsten T5 handheld.

Seven Years (almost) with my Palm Tungsten T5,
This review is from: Palm Tungsten T5 - Palm OS 5.4 416 MHz (Electronics)
I started using Linux professionally in 1998, @127.1.1.0 since 1995. Love my gadgets, have three androids and am constantly using them all. Cameras, my sansa express mp3/fm/digi record/USB key with expansion slot, and my oldest gadget my purchased and first used in 2004 Palm Tungsten T5. Still very useful.First of all, drive mode and expansion SD card slot. Mp3 player is limited but functional, good phones equal decent audio. Portable keyboards rule, you can get some data/text entry done with stuff from the inside pockets of yer sportscoat or a small corner of a shoulder bag. Bluetooth is dated on mine but still cool. Took over fifteen minutes to send "As a Man Thinketh" audio book from my debian GNU/Linux box to my palm but it arrived. Haven't gotten vt100 to work with USB or BT yet, but I haven't tried that hard either. Bluetooth sync rules, Palm plays well with GNU/Linux-ish systems as well as less capable and pricier freedom limiting operating systems. :) (No Bias Here, eh?) Mine has been dropped on asphalt more times than I care to remember. My first memo is dated 6-8-04 from my car selling days. I had three other palm devices before this one including the Zire. Loved them all, gave them away to friends or co-workers when I upgraded. Any Palm is useful because of the input capabilities. Bluetooth and IR are cool, but graffitti makes the game. A keyboard can be very affordable and portable as well. So you can create/edit text documents almost anywhere without breaking out a netbook or sitting down at a desk. Other capabilities are simply bonuses. Paid and free apps, ability to work with different PC operating systems, and durable as heck. Mine clearly has battle scars but still works great. I think I'm due for a new screensaver, the current one is seven years old, but still functional. For anyone who deals with anything, it's great. There are certainly gadgets that do more, are cooler, etc. If you want a serious Personal Digital Assistant that will stand the test of time, add a Palm to your gadget collection.

The TUNGSTEN T5 is exactly what I wanted when my pevious PALM broke in my pocket from a fall - however in another order for a metal case to protect the new TUNGSTEN PALM they did not allow for the stylus to be placed inside the metal case.
