Best Choice for M100,

I was lucky to see all the options for a case for the m100 before finalizing my choice (slim leather, regular leather and the Palm Glove). I chose the Royal Blue Palm Glove. The slim leather required velcro to hold the m100 in place while the regular leather just seemed too bulky. Plus, both are more expensive. The Palm Glove is designed to have the m100 slip tightly into it (it truly fits like a glove) and closes with a snap-on (no velcro). Plus, if you press the Palm Glove Logo, you will be able to see the time through the plastic window in the Glove. Clever and practical. Also practical are the inside and outside pockets. BTW, I checked the local stores and simply could not beat this price.

Great case choice for your M100!,

The Palm Glove is as elegant and clean a design as anyone could wish for. The machine is held in place with a clear plastic window covering the area below the screen. Although sturdy, the plastic in no way interferes with the use of the four application buttons or scrolling buttons. There's a pocket on the back of the case, another small one on the inside of the top below the window for the time/date, and a final one behind the PDA. The Glove opens up from the bottom and has a snap closure that shuts by folding around the bottom of the case, nicely protecting the Hotsync port from most potential damage. The case has the standard feel of neoprene and the accents are true black, clear royal, and bright yellow. The only curiosity to this case is what to do with the flip cover that comes standard with the M100. I've tried sliding it into the top pocket, folding it behind the machine into the inside back pocket and removing it. Have yet to decide whether it should stay or go. Right now, it's still on my Palm and not inserted in any pocket, serving as additional protection. As the other case styles do suggest removal of the flip lid, I can only assume that it should stay (somewhere). This is a terrific protective case. Highly recommended!

Sporty Cover for the M100,
By
This review is from: PalmOne PalmGlove m100 series Case (Royal Blue) (Office Product)
I bought the Palm Glove for the M-100 recently after reading the reviewers' comments. I really like it; adds a sporty, spiffy look and feel to the Palm. The only drawback I have is that it has no belt loop like the Leather Flip Case so wearing it like a cell phone is not an option with the Palm Glove. I typically slide the M100's own plastic flip cover into the flip cover of the Palm Glove; for me it works better that way. I don't have to keep up with the plastic cover and surprisingly, I find that it makes it easier to work the snap closure.

Needs an Upgrade,

This review is from: PalmOne PalmGlove m100 series Case (Royal Blue) (Office Product)
Complaints:1- Although sturdier than any other case, it is very soft/vulnerable on top, where the plastic turns to "spandex" (the spandex in this case is blue). Often, I will find my unit powered on because some pressure was applied near the power button, even though the "glove" is fastened tight. This is like an achilles heel to the case. 2- It's bulky. And by being so, it sort of defeats the "micro"/"cutting edge"/"technically advanced" experience while functioning with the "glove" on. The m100 series are quite sleek, with the case on however, that sleekness goes right out the window. 3- This is a "sporty case," YET, there is no belt clip / handle / buckle / sadle... On the other hand: This is a bulky case, and that's totally understandable considering the protection it provides--not only is it great at keeping your unit scratch-free, but is quite shock absorbant (don't test it with your own unit, of course) and somewhat water resistent. It's great for people who tend to pack their palms in their schoolbags, purses, breifcases, etc., more often than in their pockets (it either won't fit, or you'll wish it wasn't there). It's also quite durable. It should outlast your palm. I've had mine for 5 months, and nothing is loose. I use it daily, and I'm not necessarily gentle all the time. The m10x's don't have upgradable OS's: In 3 years, we're going to give them away, that lucky owner will be happy to see their free gift is scratch free and working like new. In Comparison: the leather cases look much more professional. Remember that this is a "sporty case" that provides the maximum protection.

Nice but bulky,

I'll be the party pooper here and say that I am a little disappointed with the m100 Palmglove. On the plus side it looks great, feels great and will protect your beloved Palm from practically anything short of a direct nuclear strike. Unfortunately I do find that it adds a considerable bulk to the m100. Without the glove the m100 slips nicely into my breast pocket or trousers pocket, but when it is gloved it becomes very cumbersome and awkward whichever pocket I put it in. Regarding the flip cover & the glove relationship I find that the glove somehow causes the flip cover to detach from the Palm all by itself numerous times a day, this became intolerable after a while. So, whenever I use the glove I would take the flip cover off. Nowadays I only use the glove when I carry the Palm in my briefcase. If I venture outdoors without any hand baggage I tend to just take the Palm and leave the glove at home.

Worth the $!,

After owning the m100 for almost a week, and even futzing around with some IIIs, I find that a case is pretty much a necessity. That plastic banging against a desk just worries me for some reason =)Anyways, the case is *very* protective, and looks cool to boot. If I *had* to complain about it, the pen is more difficult to reach, but that's really Palm's fault for putting it on the back of the unit instead of the side or something. Any case will give you that problem. I like how it buttons shut in the back as well. It does add bulk to the unit, but that's the price you pay for better protection. It still fits in my pocket, but then again, I wear slightly baggy jeans most of the time ;) The only clearly bad thing is that there is no available belt-strap. For some, it won't fit in the pocket after the case, so it would be nice if there was a belt clip for it. Since the case looks so cool, I wouldn't mind carrying it there ;) Enjoy!

Best thing for your Palm 100 series!,

I just love this cover! It holds my m105 tightly, allows me to see the time on my screen, and is very attractive. My husband is currently looking for a similar case for his IIIxe. The neoprene (sp?) stretches and returns beautifully and does not put too much pressure on the PDA. I feel this is a great level of protection for my Palm as well, since it is a good shock absorber. I do wish it had a belt clip though, or that the company would release a belt clip attachment you could purchase for this item. Just the same, I recommend this Palm Body Glove if you are looking for an attractive, stylish way to carry and protect your Palm investment.

Deffinetely the best choice but a couple things wrong,
By A Customer
This review is from: PalmOne PalmGlove m100 series Case (Royal Blue) (Office Product)
I bought this case about 2 weeks ago and it has been doing the job very well. Except, the window dosen't line up perfectly like it does in the picture, and therefor the clock button dosen't either. I got the blue version and I think it looks great. If you read some reviews saying the spandex dosen't protect the top of the palm, IT DOSEN'T NEED IT ANYWAY! the spandex is made so that it keeps the beamer from getting wet, and the beamer is strong anyway. there are some very helpful pockets for if you are just grabbing your palm and it needs to be carrying a couple important things such as: credit cards, money, and maybe even a business card. It is a little bulky, but thats just because it provides all the protection it needs and more. It has a clip to close the case and it also provides protection for the hotsync port. Every corner is protected, and it even covers the 4 application buttons and the scroll buttons. To get the stylus out, they made the back of the cover unsupported so that you can bend it back to get your fingers around it without loosing any of it's strength.I think this is the best cover on the market for the palm m100.

Best Palm m100 Case,
By Charlotte (Scottsdale, AZ United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: PalmOne PalmGlove m100 series Case (Royal Blue) (Office Product)
Great design. I'm really glad I chose this case over the other ones available. The quality of the product matches its price pretty well, and the case itself has been reliable. I like the extra pockets provided. However, I have found it difficult to keep both the cover that comes with the Palm and this one on at the same time, because the black cover tends to detach on its own accord! Also, the plastic "harness" that secures the case to the Palm reduces the aesthetic appeal of the Palm. Overall, I'd recommend getting this item, as long as size isn't a big issue. (The cover significantly thickens the Palm.) One more thing - if you are planning to get this color, avoid the Pacific Blue color faceplate: the two really don't match. I would suggest a Silver Mist faceplate.

This was about the third case I bought for my m100 (which is a nice little PDA). The first I bought was a little number by Coach, that they sell in the Palm catalog. I felt like at any moment the Palm was going to come flopping out. Second case was much the same, returned that too. This one is pretty good. it does its job. There's really no room for business cards or anything, but that's no huge deal. The neoprene gives a little extra in the way of shock absorption. (I frequently drop mine, so that's a good thing) It's fairly rugged and functional. Kind of cool looking. Not an annoying struggle to get the stylus out and the fact that you don't have to fiddle much with the case to sync it is definitely a plus. If you have yet to buy your Palm and are looking at these, do yourself a favor, buy them at the same time. I had my palm for about a month before I ordered this and the plastic cover that comes on the M100 was literally in 5 splintered peices at the bottom of my purse. I think a little bit of it is still down there. Anyway I had a few days of anxiety with an unprotected Palm, so take it from me... you are going to need one of these. Just go ahead and order it. This is the best value for the dollar by far. |
